If a man takes a wife and, after sleeping with her, dislikes her

Suppose a man marries a woman and sleeps with her. But then he doesn’t like her.

“ If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then hates her

“ Suppose a man marries a woman, but after sleeping with her, he turns against her

“ If a man marries a woman, has sexual relations with her, and comes to hate her,

“ If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then turns against her,

Suppose a man marries a woman, has sexual relations with her, and then rejects her,

And Jacob said unto Laban, Give[ me] my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.

And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give[ it] in her hand, and send her out of his house.

And when the LORD saw that Leah[ was] hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel[ was] barren.
