If you see your fellow Israelite’s donkey or ox fallen on the road, do not ignore it. Help the owner get it to its feet.

Suppose you see your neighbor’s donkey or ox that has fallen down on the road. Then don’t act as if you didn’t see it. Help the owner get it up on its feet again.

He set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the host, and said to him,‘ Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.’Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?”He said,“ He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him,“ Go and do likewise.”

Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Therefore lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees,and make straight paths for your feet, so what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved the less?

We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint- hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.

But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,

“ If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.If you see the donkey of him who hates you fallen down under his burden, don’t leave him. You shall surely help him with it.
