遂投其地一民、遣之於田牧豕、欲以豕所食之豆莢充腹、而無人予之、既而悟曰、我父若許傭人、其糧有餘、我乃於此飢而死耶、我將起而歸父、謂之曰、父歟、我獲罪於天及爾、今而後、不堪稱為爾子矣、視我如傭人之一、可也、遂起而歸父、相去尚遠、父見而憫之、趨抱其頸而吻接之、子曰、父歟、我獲罪於天及爾、今而後、不堪稱為爾子矣、父語諸僕曰、速取至美之袍衣之、施環於其指、納履於其足、且牽肥犢宰之、我儕食而樂焉、蓋我此子、死而復生、亡而復得者也、眾遂樂焉、

勿虐遇孤寡、賓旅貧乏、勿中心謀惡、以害昆弟、

不虐羇旅孤寡、不流無辜之血於斯、不從他神以自害、

我必蒞臨、行鞫於爾、凡巫覡及淫亂妄誓、負傭值、欺孤寡、屈賓旅、而不畏我者、我必亟證之、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、

勿訕謗、勿爭競、惟溫和、以表謙柔於眾、蓋我儕素亦無知、悖逆、迷惑、役於情慾佚樂、以狠毒媢嫉度生、見惡於人、亦彼此相惡、
