If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.

Suppose a man has just married his wife. Then don’t send him into battle. Don’t give him any other duty either. He’s free to stay home for one year. He needs time to make his new wife happy.

“ When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken.

“ A newly married man must not be drafted into the army or be given any other official responsibilities. He must be free to spend one year at home, bringing happiness to the wife he has married.

“ When a man takes a bride, he must not go out with the army or be liable for any duty. He is free to stay at home for one year, so that he can bring joy to the wife he has married.

好指教年輕的婦女愛丈夫，愛兒女，克己，貞潔，理家，善良，順服自己的丈夫，免得上帝的道被毀謗。

要使你的泉源蒙福，要喜愛你年輕時的妻子。

但從起初創造的時候，上帝造人是造男造女。因此，人要離開他的父母，與妻子結合，二人成為一體。既然如此，夫妻不再是兩個人，而是一體的了。所以，上帝配合的，人不可分開。」

在你一生虛空的日子，就是上帝賜你在日光之下虛空的日子，當與你所愛的妻快活度日，因為那是你一生中在日光之下勞碌所得的報償。

耶穌回答：「那起初造人的，是造男造女，並且說：『因此，人要離開父母，與妻子結合，二人成為一體。』這經文你們沒有念過嗎？

弟兄們，我是說：時候不多了。從此以後，那有妻子的，要像沒有一樣；

至於那已經嫁娶的，我吩咐他們－其實不是我，而是主吩咐的：妻子不可離開丈夫，若是離開了，不可再嫁，不然要跟丈夫復和；丈夫也不可離棄妻子。我對其餘的人說－是我，不是主說－倘若某弟兄有不信的妻子，妻子也情願和他一起生活，他就不可離棄妻子。妻子有不信的丈夫，丈夫也情願和她一起生活，她就不可離棄丈夫。因為不信的丈夫會因着妻子成了聖潔；不信的妻子也會因着丈夫成了聖潔。不然，你們的兒女就不潔淨了，但現在他們是聖潔的。倘若那不信的人要離開，就由他離開吧！無論是弟兄是姊妹，遇着這樣的事都不必拘束。上帝召你們原是要你們和睦。

丈夫也應當照樣愛妻子，如同愛自己的身體；愛妻子就是愛自己了。從來沒有人恨惡自己的身體，總是保養愛惜，正像基督待教會一樣，
