又將約書念給百姓聽。他們說：「耶和華所吩咐的，我們都必遵行。」

看哪！神是我的拯救；我要倚靠他，並不懼怕。因為主耶和華是我的力量，是我的詩歌，他也成了我的拯救。

豈不知你們的身子就是聖靈的殿嗎？這聖靈是從神而來，住在你們裏頭的；並且你們不是自己的人，因為你們是重價買來的。所以，要在你們的身子上榮耀神。

只要切切地謹慎遵行耶和華僕人摩西所吩咐你們的誡命律法，愛耶和華－你們的神，行他一切的道，守他的誡命，專靠他，盡心盡性事奉他。」

也不要將你們的肢體獻給罪作不義的器具；倒要像從死裏復活的人，將自己獻給神，並將肢體作義的器具獻給神。

耶和華－我們的神在何烈山與我們立約。這約不是與我們列祖立的，乃是與我們今日在這裏存活之人立的。

因我所屬所事奉的神，他的使者昨夜站在我旁邊，說：

這個要說：我是屬耶和華的；那個要以雅各的名自稱；又一個要親手寫：歸耶和華的，並自稱為以色列。

吩咐你愛耶和華－你的神，遵行他的道，謹守他的誡命、律例、典章，使你可以存活，人數增多，耶和華－你神就必在你所要進去得為業的地上賜福與你。

並且他們所做的，不但照我們所想望的，更照神的旨意先把自己獻給主，又歸附了我們。

對摩西說：「求你和我們說話，我們必聽；不要神和我們說話，恐怕我們死亡。」

他將他的道指示雅各，將他的律例典章指示以色列。別國他都沒有這樣待過；至於他的典章，他們向來沒有知道。你們要讚美耶和華！

「以色列啊，現在耶和華－你神向你所要的是甚麼呢？只要你敬畏耶和華－你的神，遵行他的道，愛他，盡心盡性事奉他，遵守他的誡命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，為要叫你得福。

我要使這三分之一經火，熬煉他們，如熬煉銀子；試煉他們，如試煉金子。他們必求告我的名，我必應允他們。我要說：這是我的子民。他們也要說：耶和華是我們的神。

你們要順從耶和華－你們的神，敬畏他，謹守他的誡命，聽從他的話，事奉他，專靠他。那先知或是那做夢的既用言語叛逆那領你們出埃及地、救贖你脫離為奴之家的耶和華－你們的神，要勾引你離開耶和華－你神所吩咐你行的道，你便要將他治死。這樣，就把那惡從你們中間除掉。

耶和華是我的力量，我的詩歌，也成了我的拯救。這是我的神，我要讚美他，是我父親的神，我要尊崇他。

遵守耶和華－你神所吩咐的，照着摩西律法上所寫的行主的道，謹守他的律例、誡命、典章、法度。這樣，你無論做甚麼事，不拘往何處去，盡都亨通。耶和華必成就向我所應許的話說：『你的子孫若謹慎自己的行為，盡心盡意誠誠實實地行在我面前，就不斷人坐以色列的國位。』

王站在他的地位上，在耶和華面前立約，要盡心盡性地順從耶和華，遵守他的誡命、法度、律例，成就這書上所記的約言；
