世人乎、主曾諭爾何為善、主向爾所欲無他、惟欲爾行公義、好施矜恤、虔敬虔敬或作謙遜以奉事爾之天主、○

故爾當純全、若爾在天之父純全焉、

爾既為順命之子、則毋如昔蒙昩之時、放縱嗜慾、召爾者乃聖、爾當效之、舉動皆聖、蓋經載云、我聖矣、爾亦當聖、

爾當敬愛主爾之天主、恆守所諭爾當守者、遵其律例法度誡命、

主所為之諸大事、爾皆目睹、故我今日所諭爾一切誡命、爾當遵守、如此可強盛、入而得所往欲得之地、

以色列人乎、主爾之天主、欲爾所為何事、第敬畏主爾之天主、行其道、敬愛之、盡心盡意奉事之、遵守主之誡命律例、即我今日所諭爾者、使爾得福、

民曰、異邦萬族、各奉己神之名而行、惟我奉主我天主之名而行、永世靡暨、

故我念主而勸爾、勿復逞虛妄之心而行、如他異邦人、其心蒙昩、愚頑無知、而棄天主生命之道、既失良心、則自棄、逞其邪侈、貪欲無度、行諸污穢、爾曹學基督乃不若是、蓋爾已聞之、且因受教而信之、循耶穌之真、當去爾前行、脫爾舊人、即被惑人之嗜慾見壞者、當以爾心志更換一新、衣以新人、即按天主像、以義及真理之聖德而造者、○

爾告以色列會眾云、我耶和華爾之天主為聖、爾亦當為聖、

基督為我儕身受苦難、爾曹亦當有此心志、以為鎧甲、蓋凡身受苦難者、息於犯罪、使爾曹今後不從人慾、而順天主之旨、以度在世所餘之光陰、我從異邦人之意、邪侈、縱慾、放飲、饕餮、沈湎、更行拜偶像可憎之事、往時如是已足矣、
