Moses alone is to approach the Lord, but the others are not to approach, and the people are not to go up with him.”Moses came and told the people all the commands of the Lord and all the ordinances. Then all the people responded with a single voice,“ We will do everything that the Lord has commanded.”And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. He rose early the next morning and set up an altar and 12 pillars for the 12 tribes of Israel at the base of the mountain.Then he sent out young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed bulls as fellowship offerings to the Lord.Moses took half the blood and set it in basins; the other half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.He then took the covenant scroll and read it aloud to the people. They responded,“ We will do and obey everything that the Lord has commanded.”Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said,“ This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you concerning all these words.”

This one will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt— a covenant they broke even though I had married them”— the Lord’s declaration.

“ Listen to the words of this covenant and tell them to the men of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem.

not like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by their hands to lead them out of the land of Egypt. I disregarded them, says the Lord, because they did not continue in My covenant.

You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors, saying to Abraham, And all the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.

Then people will answer,‘ It is because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh, the God of their fathers, which He had made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.

so that you may enter into the covenant of the Lord your God, which He is making with you today, so that you may enter into His oath

The day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, the Lord said to me,‘ Assemble the people before Me, and I will let them hear My words, so that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth and may instruct their children.’

Be careful not to forget the covenant of the Lord your God that He made with you, and make an idol for yourselves in the shape of anything He has forbidden you.

He declared His covenant to you. He commanded you to follow the Ten Commandments, which He wrote on two stone tablets.
