恐怕你们中间有男人或女人，家族或支派，今日心里偏离了耶和华我们的神，去事奉那些国的神，又恐怕你们中间有恶根，生出毒草和苦堇来；

惟恐你們中間，或男或女，或族長或支派長，今日心裏偏離耶和華－我們的神，去事奉那些國的神；又怕你們中間有惡根生出苦菜和茵蔯來，

惟恐你們中間有人，或男或女，或宗族或支派，今日心裏偏離耶和華－我們的上帝，去事奉那些國的神明，又怕你們中間有根長出苦菜和茵蔯來。

你們中間，不論男人或女人，家族或支派，切不可有人背棄我們的上帝耶和華，去祭拜列國的神明，免得你們中間有殘根長出苦毒的果實，

恐怕你們中間有男人或女人，家族或支派，今日心裡偏離了耶和華我們的神，去事奉那些國的神，又恐怕你們中間有惡根，生出毒草和苦堇來；

我同你們立約宣誓，是恐怕你們中間有人、或男人或女人、或家族或族派、今日心裏偏離了永恆主我們的上帝，去事奉那些國的神；又恐怕你們中間有惡根、結出毒菜和苦堇為果實來，

此約之立、以免爾中男女、宗族支派、今日中心違棄我上帝耶和華、往事斯族之神、致有荼毒之根、生於爾中、

爾中之男女、宗族支派、其心毋違我上帝耶和華、而奉事他邦之上帝、爾中之人、其毒毋太苦、如茵蔯之根、

如爾中或男或女、或宗族、或支派、今日心棄主我之天主、往事此諸邦之神、若有苦毒之根、生於爾中、

Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the Lord our God to go and worship the gods of those nations; make sure there is no root among you that produces such bitter poison.

Make sure there isn’t a man or woman among your families or tribes who turns away from the Lord our God. No one must worship the gods of those nations. Make sure that kind of worship doesn’t spread like bitter poison through your whole community.

Beware lest there be among you a man or woman or clan or tribe whose heart is turning away today from the Lord our God to go and serve the gods of those nations. Beware lest there be among you a root bearing poisonous and bitter fruit,

I am making this covenant with you so that no one among you— no man, woman, clan, or tribe— will turn away from the Lord our God to worship these gods of other nations, and so that no root among you bears bitter and poisonous fruit.

Be sure there is no man, woman, clan, or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the LORD our God to go and worship the gods of those nations. Be sure there is no root among you bearing poisonous and bitter fruit.

so that there will not be among you a man or woman, or family or tribe, whose heart turns away today from the Lord our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; that there will not be among you a root bearing poisonous fruit and wormwood.

lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from Jehovah our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

Beware that the heart of no man, woman, clan, or tribe among you turns away from the LORD our God today to pursue and serve the gods of those nations; beware that there is among you no root producing poisonous and bitter fruit.

lest there should be among you man, woman, family, or tribe whose heart turns away today from Yahweh our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that produces bitter poison;

要謹慎，免得有人失去了神的恩典；免得有毒根生出來擾亂你們，因而使許多人沾染污穢，

你們要謹慎，免得心受誘惑，轉去事奉別神，敬拜它們，以致耶和華的怒氣向你們發作，使天封閉不下雨，使地不出產，使你們在耶和華所賜給你們的美地上速速滅亡。

「你中間若有先知或是做夢的人起來，向你顯神蹟奇事，他對你說的神蹟奇事應驗了，說：『我們去隨從別神，事奉它們吧。』那是你不認識的。你不可聽那先知或是那做夢之人的話，因為這是耶和華－你們的神考驗你們，要知道你們是否盡心盡性愛耶和華－你們的神。你們要順從耶和華－你們的神，敬畏他，謹守他的誡命，聽從他的話，事奉他，緊緊跟隨他。那先知或那做夢的人要被處死，因為他出言悖逆那領你們出埃及地、救贖你脫離為奴之家的耶和華－你們的神，要引誘你離開耶和華－你神吩咐你要行的道。這樣，你就把惡從你中間除掉。「你的同胞兄弟，或是你的兒女，或是你懷中的妻，或是如同自己性命的朋友，若暗中引誘你，說：『我們去事奉別神吧。』那是你和你列祖所不認識的，你四圍列國的神明，無論是離你近或離你遠，從地這邊到地那邊，你都不可附和他，也不要聽從他。你的眼不可顧惜他，不可憐憫他，也不可袒護他。你務必殺他；你先下手，然後眾百姓才下手，把他處死。要用石頭打死他，因為他想引誘你離開那領你出埃及地為奴之家的耶和華－你的神。全以色列都要聽見而害怕，不敢在你中間再行這樣的惡事了。「若你聽見人說，在耶和華－你神所賜給你居住的城鎮中的一座，有些無賴之徒從你中間出來，引誘本城的居民，說：『我們去事奉別神吧。』那是你們不認識的，你就要調查，探聽，細心詢問。看哪，是真的，確實有這可憎的事在你中間發生，你務必用刀殺那城裏的居民，把城裏所有的，連牲畜都用刀滅盡。

所以萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：「看哪，我必將茵蔯給這百姓吃，又用苦水給他們喝。

馬豈能在巖石上奔跑？人豈能在那裏用牛耕種呢？你們卻使公平變為苦膽，使公義的果子變為茵蔯。

弟兄們，你們要謹慎，免得你們中間有人存着邪惡不信的心，離棄了永生的神。

我看出你正在苦膽之中，被不義捆綁着。」

「在你中間，在耶和華－你神所賜你的各城中，任何一座城裏，若有男人或女人做了耶和華－你神眼中看為惡的事，違背了他的約，去事奉別神，敬拜它們，或拜太陽，或拜月亮，或拜天上的萬象，是我不曾吩咐的。有人告訴你，你也聽見了，就要細心探聽。看哪，是真的，確實有這可憎的事在以色列中發生，你就要將行這惡事的男人或女人拉到城門外，用石頭把這男人或女人處死。要憑兩個證人或三個證人的口，才可以把他處死，不可只憑一個證人的口處死他。證人要先動手，然後眾百姓也動手把他處死。這樣，你就把惡從你中間除掉。

他們講空話，以假誓立約；因此，懲罰如苦菜滋生在田間的犁溝中。
