主緣爾曹怒我、不允我所求、諭我曰、如是已矣、勿以此事再求於我、

彼必為我名建殿、我必堅定其國位、至於永遠、我必為彼之父、彼必為我之子、我不使我之仁慈仁慈或作恩寵下同離彼、如我昔使我之仁慈離在爾以前者、

大衛王起立曰、我兄弟、我民歟、宜聽我言、我意欲建殿宇、安置主之約匱、為我天主駐蹕駐蹕原文作足蹬之所、我已備材以待建造、惟天主諭我曰、爾多戰殺人、殺人原文作流血不當為我名建殿、主以色列之天主、在我父之全家中、特選我永為以色列王、選猶大支派為長、在猶大支派中、選我父家為最、在我父眾子中悅我、立我為以色列眾之王、
