今當知爾上帝耶和華必如烈火、為爾先導、毀敗之、伏之於爾前、爾則驅逐之、速滅之、如耶和華所諭爾者、

當命約書亞、勗之壯之、因其必率斯民而渡、俾承爾所將見之地、

是日耶和華使約書亞為大於以色列眾前、畢生民畏之、如畏摩西然、○

我僕摩西死矣、今爾與民起而濟此約但、往我所賜以色列族之地、

耶和華諭嫩之子約書亞曰、強乃志、壯乃心、爾將導以色列人入我所誓賜之地、我必偕爾、○

儻約書亞曾以安息賜之、則後必不復言他日矣、

勿恃君王、勿倚世人、彼莫能助兮、其氣一絕、歸於厥土、所有圖謀、即日消亡兮、以雅各之上帝為助、以其上帝耶和華為望、斯人其有福兮、彼造天地海、與其中所有、保守誠實、至於永久兮、

以爾手逐列邦、栽培我祖、苦待異族、使我列祖繁衍兮、其得斯土、非恃己刃、其得拯救、非賴己臂、乃賴爾之右手與臂、乃爾容光、以爾悅之兮、

我列祖承受此幕、偕約書亞攜入異邦而居之、即上帝在我列祖前逐彼之時、以至大衛之日、

耶和華諭摩西曰、嫩之子約書亞、乃感於神、汝可取之、按手其上、置於祭司以利亞撒及會眾前、付託以命、以汝尊榮、加諸其身、使以色列會眾無不聽從、彼必立於祭司以利亞撒前、以利亞撒為之諮諏烏陵於耶和華前、彼及以色列會眾、必聽其命而出、亦聽其命而入、

耶和華諭摩西曰、爾之死期伊邇、當召約書亞偕詣會幕、我將付託之、摩西與約書亞乃詣會幕、

摩西召約書亞、於以色列眾前諭之曰、強乃志、壯乃心、爾必與民偕往、入耶和華誓賜其祖之地、使得為業、耶和華為爾先導、與爾同在、不棄爾、不遺爾、勿畏懼、勿驚惶、○

嫩之子約書亞、因摩西曾按手其首、充以智慧之神、以色列人聽從之、遵耶和華所諭摩西之命、

耶和華諭約書亞曰、自今日始、我將使爾為大於以色列眾前、俾知我今偕爾、如昔偕摩西然、

以色列語約瑟曰、我將死矣、惟上帝必偕爾、俾返先人之處、
