当耶和华—你的神把他们交给你，你击杀他们的时候，你要完全消灭他们，不可与他们立约，也不可怜惜他们。

但是这些民族的城镇，就是耶和华—你神所赐给你的产业，其中凡有气息的，一个都不可存留。你要照耶和华—你神所吩咐的，将这些赫人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人全都灭绝，

你要谨慎，不可与你所要去那地的居民立约，免得他们成为你中间的圈套。你要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，砍断他们的亚舍拉。不可敬拜别神，因为耶和华是忌邪的神，他的名是忌邪者。你不可与那地的居民立约，因为他们随从自己的神明行淫；祭他们神明的时候，有人邀请你参加，你就会吃他的祭物。你为你儿子娶他们的女儿为妻，他们的女儿因着随从她们的神明行淫，就引诱你的儿子也随从她们的神明行淫。

不可跟他们和他们的神明立约。他们不可住在你的地上，免得他们使你得罪我。你若事奉他们的神明，必成为你的圈套。”

要从你们面前赶出那地所有的居民，摧毁他们一切的石像和铸成的偶像，也要拆毁他们一切的丘坛。你们要占领那地，住在那里，因我已把那地赐给你们为业。你们要按照宗族抽签，承受土地：人多的要多给他们产业；人少的要少给他们产业。抽到何地给何人，那地就属于他。你们要按照父系的支派承受产业。倘若你们不把那地的居民从你们面前赶出去，那留下的居民就必成为你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰乱你们；我想要怎样待他们，也必照样待你们。”

耶和华—你的神必将他们交给你，大大扰乱他们，直到他们被除灭。他又要将他们的君王交在你手中，你必从天下除去他们的名；必无一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你把他们除灭了。你们要用火焚烧他们神明的雕刻偶像；不可贪爱偶像上的金银，也不可私自收起来，免得你因此陷入圈套，因为这是耶和华—你神所憎恶的。

你不必怕他们，要牢牢记住耶和华—你神向法老和埃及全地所行的事，
