Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”

摩西从摩押平原上了尼波山，就是上了耶利哥对面的毗斯迦山顶。耶和华把全地指给他看，就是把基列直到但，拿弗他利全地，以法莲和玛拿西之地，犹大全地，直到西海，南地和那平原，就是棕树城耶利哥的盆地，直到琐珥，都指给他看。耶和华对他说：“这就是我曾经向亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许之地，说：‘我要把这地赐给你的后裔。’现在我让你亲眼看见了，可是你不能过到那边去。”

你要上毗斯迦山顶去，举目向东、南、西、北，亲眼观看，因为你不能过这约旦河。

耶和华吩咐摩西说：“你要上这亚巴琳山去，看看我赐给以色列人的地。

这些人都是存着信心死了的，还没有得着所应许的，只不过是从远处看见，就表示欢迎，又承认他们在世上是异乡人，是客旅。

所有这些人都藉着信得了称许，却还没有得着所应许的；

因为你们的缘故，耶和华也向我发怒，说：‘你也不能进入那地；

“你要上这亚巴琳山去，就是尼波山，在耶利哥对面的摩押地，观看我赐给以色列人为业的迦南地。
