Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”

摩西從摩押原野上了尼波山、毘斯迦山頂，就是耶利哥的對面。永恆主把基列全地、直到但、拿弗他利全地、以法蓮、瑪拿西之地、猶大全地、直到西海、南地、和那一片平原、就是棕樹城耶利哥的峽谷、直到瑣珥、都指給他看。永恆主對他說：『這就是我曾向亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許說：「我要給你後裔」的地；我已經使你親眼看到，但你卻不得過去到那裏。』

你要上毘斯迦山頂，舉目向西、向北、向南、向東、親眼觀看；因為你不能過這約但河了。

永恆主對摩西說：『你要上這亞巴琳山，看我所賜給以色列人的地。

這些人都是存着信心而死，沒有領受所應許的，乃是遠遠望見而致敬，承認自己在地上是旅客是寄居的。

這些人雖然都藉着信得了讚許的證言，卻沒有領受所應許的；

因了你們的緣故永恆主也向我發怒說：「你必不得以進那裏去；

『你要上這亞巴琳山、尼波山，在耶利哥對面的摩押地，觀看我所賜給以色列人為產業的迦南地。
