You will see the land before you, but you will not enter the land that I am giving to the Israelites.”

Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”

So you will see the land, but only from far away. You will not enter the land I am giving to the Israelites.”

Then Moses ascended from the deserts of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the summit of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. The LORD showed him the whole land– Gilead to Dan,and all of Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the distant sea,the Negev, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of the date palm trees, as far as Zoar.Then the LORD said to him,“ This is the land I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said,‘ I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it, but you will not cross over there.”

Go up to the top of Pisgah and take a good look to the west, north, south, and east, for you will not be allowed to cross the Jordan.

Then the LORD said to Moses,“ Go up this mountain of the Abarim range, and see the land I have given to the Israelites.

These all died in faith without receiving the things promised, but they saw them in the distance and welcomed them and acknowledged that they were strangers and foreigners on the earth.

And these all were commended for their faith, yet they did not receive what was promised.

As for me, the LORD was also angry with me on your account. He said,“ You also will not be able to go there.

“ Go up to this Abarim hill country, to Mount Nebo( which is in the land of Moab opposite Jericho) and look at the land of Canaan that I am giving to the Israelites as a possession.
