“这摩西就是有人曾弃绝他说‘谁立你作我们的领袖和审判官’的，神却藉那在荆棘中显现的天使的手差派他作领袖，作解救者。

耶和华的使者在荆棘的火焰中向他显现。摩西观看，看哪，荆棘在火中焚烧，却没有烧毁。摩西说：“我要转过去看这大异象，这荆棘为何没有烧毁呢？”耶和华见摩西转过去看，神就从荆棘里呼叫他说：“摩西！摩西！”他说：“我在这里。”

地和其中所充满的，世界和住在其中的，都属耶和华。

论到死人复活，你们没有念过摩西书中《荆棘篇》上所记载的吗？神对摩西说：‘我是亚伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神。’

他们为约瑟单独摆了一席，为那些人又摆了一席，也为和约瑟同吃饭的埃及人另摆了一席，因为埃及人不和希伯来人一同吃饭；那是埃及人所厌恶的。

“在至高之处荣耀归与神！在地上平安归与他所喜悦的人！”

天属你，地也属你；世界和其中所充满的都为你所建立。

若有人对你们说：“这是献过祭的物”，那么为了那告诉你们的人，并为了良心的缘故就不吃。

“从但那里传来敌人的马喷气的声音，壮马发出嘶声，全地就都震动；因为他们来吞灭这地和其上所有的，吞灭这城与其中的居民。

你们要赶紧上到我父亲那里，对他说：‘你儿子约瑟这样说：神已立我作全埃及之主，请你下到我这里来，不要耽搁。你和你的儿子孙子，羊群牛群，以及一切所有的，都可以住在歌珊地，与我相近。我要在那里奉养你，因为还有五年的饥荒，免得你和你的家属，以及一切所有的，都陷入穷困中。’

这样一位圣洁、无邪恶、无玷污、远离罪人、高过诸天的大祭司，对我们是最合适的；

那时，有些米甸的商人从那里经过，就把约瑟从坑里拉上来。他们以二十块银子把约瑟卖给以实玛利人，他们就把约瑟带到埃及去了。

“我若是饥饿，不用告诉你，因为世界和其中所充满的都是我的。

又恐怕我因所得的启示太高深，就过于高抬自己，所以有一根刺加在我身上，就是撒但的差役来折磨我，免得我过于高抬自己。为了这事，我曾三次求主使这根刺离开我。他对我说：“我的恩典是够你用的，因为我的能力是在人的软弱上显得完全。”所以，我更喜欢夸耀自己的软弱，好使基督的能力覆庇我。为基督的缘故，我以软弱、凌辱、艰难、迫害、困苦为可喜乐的事；因为我什么时候软弱，什么时候就刚强了。

约瑟在他埃及主人的家中，耶和华与他同在，他是一个通达的人。他主人见耶和华与他同在，又见耶和华使他手里所办的事都顺利，

你父亲的福胜过我祖先的福，直到永世山岭的极限。这些福必降在约瑟的头上，临到那与兄弟有分别之人的头顶上。

“过了四十年，在西奈山的旷野，有一位天使在荆棘的火焰中向摩西显现。摩西见了那异象，觉得很惊讶，正往前观看的时候，有主的声音说：‘我是你列祖的神，就是亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神。’摩西战战兢兢，不敢观看。主对他说：‘把你脚上的鞋脱下来，因为你所站的地方是圣地。

“因为地和其中所充满的都属于主”。

米甸人把约瑟卖到埃及，给法老的官员，就是护卫长波提乏。
