則必斷其手、爾勿姑縱。

爾毋允從、毋聽順、毋姑縱、毋矜恤、毋藏匿、

爾勿姑縱、如是可絕殺人之罪於以色列族中、而爾納福。○

毋自欺也、與惡人交、喪吾德、

爾勿姑縱、乃必以命償命、目償目、齒償齒、手償手、足償足。

爾之上帝耶和華既以之付爾、則爾勿姑縱、必攻擊之、殲滅之、勿與立約。

事其偶像、罹於罪網兮、

耶和華曰、嗣後猶大王西底家、與邑中所遺之臣民、不戮於鋒刃、斃於瘟疫、死於饑饉者、我必付之於敵人、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒之手、俾以鋒刃殺戮、不加矜恤。

則當謹恪、勿陷於坎阱、勿求其上帝、意謂斯民服事其上帝、我亦必如是以行。蓋彼爇子女、以事其上帝、凡耶和華所惡之事、無不作為、爾之事爾上帝耶和華勿是則是效。

爾所往之地、勿與其民立約、恐陷爾於坎阱。必摧其壇、毀其像、斫其偶、斷不容爾以他上帝匹我、此乃我耶和華之名也、故他上帝爾勿崇拜。勿與居民立約、恐彼狥欲、從其上帝而獻祭、遂招爾曹共食祭物。恐爾取其女為媳、其女狥欲從其上帝、以惑爾子亦狥欲以從。

取其女為妻、以女適其子、亦服事其上帝。

故我有言、必不驅逐斯民、使彼為肘下之棘、彼之上帝陷爾於坎阱。

導其祖出埃及之上帝耶和華、反背之、四周民之上帝、則尊崇伏拜之、以是干耶和華震怒。

則當知爾上帝耶和華必不再驅斯民於爾前、斯民必陷爾於坎阱、為爾目中之刺、肘下之棘、迨爾滅亡、在爾上帝耶和華所賜之腴壤。今日我將逝世、無異凡民、乃爾一心一意、知爾上帝耶和華所許之福、萬無一失、毋或少遺。爾上帝耶和華所許諸福、既臨於爾、爾反其道、則爾上帝耶和華亦必使諸禍降臨、迨爾滅亡、在爾上帝耶和華所賜之腴壤。如爾背爾上帝耶和華所命之約、服事崇拜他上帝、則耶和華必震怒爾、使爾速亡、於其所賜之腴壤。

斯土之眾、爾不驅逐、則其遺民、必為爾目中之刺、肘下之棘、困苦爾於此。
