即爾所目睹之試鍊、異蹟、奇事、能手、奮臂、爾上帝耶和華用以導爾出者、爾所懼之諸族、爾上帝耶和華亦必如是待之、

施大能巨力、行異跡奇事、降災於敵、拯爾出彼、為爾目擊、爾今所畏之民、必為爾上帝耶和華所罰、無異於昔。

當追憶主爾之天主導爾出伊及時、所試之大能、所行之異跡奇事、所用之大力大威、爾目所睹者、主爾之天主亦必如是待爾所懼之諸國、

You saw with your own eyes the great trials, the signs and wonders, the mighty hand and outstretched arm, with which the Lord your God brought you out. The Lord your God will do the same to all the peoples you now fear.

With your own eyes you saw what the Lord did to them. You saw the signs and amazing things he did. He reached out his mighty hand and powerful arm. The Lord your God used all those things to bring you out. You are now afraid of the nations that are in the land the Lord promised you. But the Lord your God will do to them the same things he did to Egypt.

Remember the great terrors the Lord your God sent against them. You saw it all with your own eyes! And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the strong hand and powerful arm with which he brought you out of Egypt. The Lord your God will use this same power against all the people you fear.

上帝何曾為自己嘗試從別的國中領出一國的子民來，用考驗、神蹟、奇事、戰爭、大能的手、伸出來的膀臂和大可畏的事，像耶和華－你們的上帝在埃及，在你們眼前為你們所做的一切事呢？

那日我向他們起誓，要領他們出埃及地，到我為他們所找到的流奶與蜜之地，就是全地中最美好之地。我對他們說，你們各人要拋棄眼中所喜愛的可憎之物，不可用埃及的偶像玷污自己。我是耶和華－你們的上帝。他們卻悖逆我，不肯聽從我，不拋棄他們眼中所喜愛的可憎之物，離棄埃及的偶像。「我就說，在埃及地，我要把我的憤怒傾倒在他們身上，向他們發盡我的怒氣。我這麼做是為了我名的緣故，免得我的名在他們所居住之列國眼中被褻瀆；我曾在這些列國眼前向他們顯現，領他們出了埃及地。

今日你們應當知道，而不是你們的兒女，因為他們不知道，也沒有見過耶和華－你們上帝的管教、他的偉大、他大能的手和伸出來的膀臂，以及他在埃及向埃及王法老和其全地所行的神蹟奇事；他怎樣對待埃及的軍隊、馬和戰車，他們追趕你們的時候，耶和華怎樣用紅海的水淹沒他們，消滅了他們，直到今日；

你在埃及地顯神蹟奇事，直到今日在以色列和世人中間也是如此，建立了自己的名聲，正如今日一樣。你用神蹟奇事、大能的手、伸出來的膀臂和大可畏的事，領你的百姓以色列出了埃及，

施行神蹟奇事在法老和他所有臣僕，以及他國中眾百姓身上，因為你知道他們向我們祖先行事狂傲。你也得了名聲，正如今日一樣。你在我們祖先面前把海分開，使他們走過海中乾地，將追趕他們的人拋在深海，如石頭拋在大水中。

約書亞說：「你們因這事會知道永生的上帝在你們中間，他必從你們面前趕出迦南人、赫人、希未人、比利洗人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、耶布斯人。

就是你親眼看見的大考驗，那些神蹟和大奇事。
