因为耶和华已经把又大又强的列国从你们面前赶出；直到今日，没有一人能在你们面前站立得住。

你一生的日子，必无人能在你面前站立得住。我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在；我必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。

你且由着我，我要除灭他们，从天下涂去他们的名，我要使你成为比他们更大更强的国。’

他们带出那五个王到约书亚那里的时候，约书亚就召了以色列众人来，对和他同去的军官说：“你们近前来，把脚踏在这些王的颈项上。”他们就近前来，把脚踏在这些王的颈项上。约书亚对他们说：“你们不要惧怕，也不要惊惶。当刚强壮胆，因为耶和华必这样处置你们要攻打的所有仇敌。”

约书亚一举击败了这些王，夺了他们的地，因为耶和华—以色列的神为以色列作战。

凡为攻击你而造的兵器必无效用；在审判时兴起用口舌攻击你的，你必驳倒他。这是耶和华仆人的产业，是他们从我所得的义；这是耶和华说的。

我必伸手攻击犹大和耶路撒冷所有的居民；从这地方剪除剩下的巴力、事奉偶像之祭司的名字与祭司；

耶和华必不愿饶恕他；耶和华的怒气与妒忌必向他如烟冒出，将这书上所写的一切诅咒都加在他身上，耶和华也要从天下涂去他的名。

然而，靠着爱我们的主，在这一切的事上，我们已经得胜有余了。

耶和华对摩西说：“你要把这事记录在书上作纪念，又念给约书亚听：我要把亚玛力的名字从天下全然涂去。”

你曾斥责列国，灭绝恶人；你曾涂去他们的名，直到永永远远。

你们要对他们这样说：“那些不是创造天地的神明，必从地上、从天下被除灭！”

这些是以色列人在约旦河东，向日出的方向，从亚嫩谷直到黑门山，以及东边亚拉巴的整个地区所击杀的王和所得的地：有住希实本的亚摩利王西宏，他统治的地从亚嫩谷边的亚罗珥起，包括谷中之城和基列的一半，直到亚扪人边界的雅博河，以及从东边的亚拉巴，直到基尼烈海，又向东通过伯‧耶施末的路，直到亚拉巴的海，就是盐海，再往南直到毗斯迦山斜坡的山脚。又有巴珊王噩，他是利乏音人所剩下的，住在亚斯她录和以得来。他统治的地是黑门山、撒迦、巴珊全地，直到基述人和玛迦人的边界，以及基列的一半，直到希实本王西宏的边界。这两个王是耶和华的仆人摩西和以色列人所击杀的。耶和华的仆人摩西把他们的地赐给吕便人、迦得人和玛拿西半支派的人为业。

义人的称号带来祝福；恶人的名字必然败坏。

所以，当耶和华—你的神使你不被四围一切仇敌扰乱，在耶和华—你神赐你为业的地上得享平静的时候，你要把亚玛力的名从天下涂去；你不可忘记这事。”
