Is there anything of which one can say,“ Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.

Is there anything of which it may be said,“ See, this is new”? It has already been in ancient times before us.

Is there a thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been long ago, in the ages which were before us.

Can one say about anything,“ Look, this is new”? It has already existed in the ages before us.

Is there[ any] thing whereof it may be said, See, this[ is] new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.

Is there anything about which someone can say,“ Look at this! It is new!”? It was already done long ago, before our time.

Is there a thing of which it may be said,“ Behold, this is new?” It has been long ago, in the ages which were before us.

And you say,‘ If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started! Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. (niv)

For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jewswho killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyonein their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last. (niv)
