The hearts of wise people lead them on the right path. But the hearts of foolish people take them down the wrong path.

智慧人的心居右；愚昧人的心居左。

智慧人的心居右；愚昧人的心居左。

智慧人的心居右；愚昧人的心居左。

智者的心引导他走正路，愚人的心带领他入歧途。

智慧人的心向右，愚昧人的心偏左。

智慧人的心朝右，愚昧人的心朝左。

智慧人的心居右；愚昧人的心居左。

The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

A wise man’s heart inclines him to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left.

A wise person chooses the right road; a fool takes the wrong one.

A wise person’s heart goes to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left.

A wise person’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish person’s heart directs him toward the left.

A wise man’s heart is at his right hand, But a fool’s heart at his left.

A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.

A wise man’s heart goes to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left.

A wise man’s heart[ is] at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.

A wise person’s good sense protects him, but a fool’s lack of sense leaves him vulnerable.

A wise man’s heart is at his right hand, but a fool’s heart at his left.

They talk too much. No one knows what lies ahead. Who can tell someone else what will happen after they are gone?

“ Then he said,‘ This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones. I will store my extra grain in them.I’ll say to myself,“ You have plenty of grain stored away for many years. Take life easy. Eat, drink and have a good time.” ’“ But God said to him,‘ You foolish man! Tonight I will take your life away from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

Why should a foolish person try to buy wisdom? They are not even able to understand it.

“ Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you sit down first and figure out how much it will cost? Then you will see whether you have enough money to finish it.Suppose you start building and are not able to finish. Then everyone who sees what you have done will laugh at you.They will say,‘ This person started to build but wasn’t able to finish.’“ Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. And suppose he has 10,000 men, while the other has 20,000 coming against him. Won’t he first sit down and think about whether he can win?And suppose he decides he can’t win. Then he will send some men to ask how peace can be made. He will do this while the other king is still far away.

People are wise and understanding when they think about the way they live. But people are foolish when their foolish ways trick them.

Suppose the blade of an ax is dull. And its edge hasn’t been sharpened. Then more effort is needed to use it. But skill will bring success.

No matter what you do, work at it with all your might. Remember, you are going to the place of the dead. And there isn’t any work or planning or knowledge or wisdom there.
