Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.

In the morning plant your seeds. In the evening keep your hands busy. You don’t know what will succeed. It may be one or the other. Or both might do equally well.

你们撒的种多，收的却少；你们吃，却不得饱；喝，却不得足；穿衣服，却不得暖；得工钱的，将工钱装在破漏的囊中。”万军之耶和华如此说：“你们要省察自己的行为。你们要上山取木料，建造这殿，我就因此喜乐，且得荣耀。这是耶和华说的。你们盼望多得，所得的却少；你们收到家中，我就吹去。这是为什么呢？因为我的殿荒凉，你们各人却顾自己的房屋。这是万军之耶和华说的。所以为你们的缘故，天就不降甘露，地也不出土产。我命干旱临到地土、山冈、五谷、新酒，和油，并地上的出产、人民、牲畜，以及人手一切劳碌得来的。”

你们要为自己栽种公义，就能收割慈爱。现今正是寻求耶和华的时候；你们要开垦荒地，等他临到，使公义如雨降在你们身上。

“少种的少收，多种的多收”，这话是真的。

但如今，我待这余剩的民必不像从前。这是万军之耶和华说的。因为他们必平安撒种，葡萄树必结果子，地土必有出产，天也必降甘露。我要使这余剩的民享受这一切的福。

收割的人得工价，积蓄五谷到永生，叫撒种的和收割的一同快乐。俗语说：‘那人撒种，这人收割’，这话可见是真的。我差你们去收你们所没有劳苦的；别人劳苦，你们享受他们所劳苦的。”

在你们手下的各样工作上，我以旱风、霉烂、冰雹攻击你们，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。你们要追想此日以前，就是从这九月二十四日起，追想到立耶和华殿根基的日子。仓里有谷种吗？葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树、橄榄树都没有结果子。从今日起，我必赐福与你们。”

亚波罗算什么？保罗算什么？无非是执事，照主所赐给他们各人的，引导你们相信。我栽种了，亚波罗浇灌了，惟有神叫他生长。可见栽种的，算不得什么，浇灌的，也算不得什么；只在那叫他生长的神。

凡你手所当做的事要尽力去做；因为在你所必去的阴间没有工作，没有谋算，没有知识，也没有智慧。

又说：“神的国如同人把种撒在地上。黑夜睡觉，白日起来，这种就发芽渐长，那人却不晓得如何这样。地生五谷是出于自然的：先发苗，后长穗，再后穗上结成饱满的子粒；谷既熟了，就用镰刀去割，因为收成的时候到了。”

务要传道，无论得时不得时总要专心，并用百般的忍耐、各样的教训责备人，警戒人，劝勉人。

但内中有塞浦路斯和古利奈人，他们到了安提阿也向希腊人传讲主耶稣。主与他们同在，信而归主的人就很多了。

我将这一切事放在心上，详细考究，就知道义人和智慧人，并他们的作为都在神手中；或是爱，或是恨，都在他们的前面，人不能知道。
