Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.

In the morning plant your seeds. In the evening keep your hands busy. You don’t know what will succeed. It may be one or the other. Or both might do equally well.

你们撒的种多，收的却少；你们吃，却不得饱；喝，却不得足；穿衣服，却不得暖；领工钱的，领了工钱却装入有破洞的袋中。“万军之耶和华如此说，你们要省察自己的行为。你们要上山取木料，建造这殿，我就因此喜乐，且得荣耀。这是耶和华说的。你们盼望多得，看哪，所得的却少；你们收到家中，我就吹去。这是为什么呢？因为我的殿荒凉，你们各人却只为自己的房屋奔走。这是万军之耶和华说的。所以，因你们的缘故，天不降甘露，地也不出土产。我命令干旱临到土地、山冈、五谷、新酒、新油和地上的出产，也临到人和牲畜，以及一切人手劳碌得来的。”

你们要为自己栽种公义，收割慈爱。你们要开垦荒地，现今正是寻求耶和华的时候；等他临到，公义必如雨降给你们。

还有一点：“少种的少收；多种的多收。”

但如今，我对这余民必不像先前的日子。这是万军之耶和华说的。因为他们要平安撒种，葡萄树要结果子，土地必有出产，天也必降甘露。我要使这余民享受这一切。

收割的人已经得工钱，为永生储存五谷，使撒种的和收割的一同快乐。‘那人撒种，这人收割’，这话可见是真的。我差你们去收你们所没有辛劳的；别人辛劳，你们享受他们辛劳的成果。”

我以焚风、霉烂、冰雹攻击你们，和你们手上的各样工作，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。你们心里要想一想，从今日起，就是从这九月二十四日起，从立耶和华殿根基的日子起，你们心里想一想：仓里还有谷种吗？葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树、橄榄树虽没有结果子，从今日起，我必赐福。”

亚波罗算什么？保罗算什么？我们都是神的执事，藉着我们，你们信了；这不过是照着主给各人的恩赐去做罢了。我栽种了，亚波罗浇灌了，惟有神使它生长。可见，栽种的算不了什么，浇灌的也算不了什么；惟有神能使它生长。

凡你手所当做的事，要尽力去做；因为在你所必须去的阴间没有工作，没有谋算，没有知识，也没有智慧。

耶稣又说：“神的国如同人把种子撒在地上，黑夜睡觉，白日起来，这种子就发芽生长，那人却不知道如何会这样。土地自然而然地出产五谷，先发苗，后长穗，然后穗上结成饱满的谷子。五谷熟了，就用镰刀去割，因为收成的时候到了。”

务要传道；无论得时不得时总要专心，并以百般的忍耐和各样的教导责备人，警戒人，劝勉人。

但内中有塞浦路斯和古利奈人，他们到了安提阿也向希腊人传讲主耶稣的福音。主的手与他们同在，信而归主的人数很多。

我将这一切事放在心上，详细研究这些，就知道义人和智慧人，并他们的作为都在神手中；或是爱，或是恨，都在他们面前，但人不能知道。
