但那尚未出生，就是未曾見過日光之下所發生之惡事的，比這兩種人更幸福。

并且我以为那未曾生的，就是未见过日光之下恶事的，比这两等人更强。

但那尚未出生，就是未曾见过日光之下所发生之恶事的，比这两种人更幸福。

不过，比以上两种人更幸运的是那从未出生的人，他们从未见过日光之下各样的恶行。

那还没生下来的，就是还没看过日光之下所行的恶事的，比这两种人更有福。

並且我以為那未曾生的，就是未見過日光之下惡事的，比這兩等人更強。

不過，比以上兩種人更幸運的是那從未出生的人，他們從未見過日光之下各樣的惡行。

那還沒生下來的，就是還沒看過日光之下所行的惡事的，比這兩種人更有福。

我並且以為、那未曾生的、就是那未曾經驗過日光之下所發生的壞事的、比這兩種人還好。

但那還沒有出生的人，比這兩者更好，因他沒有見過在日光之下所行的惡事。

且以未生之人、未睹日下所作之惡者、較斯二者為尤愈也、○

又思未生於斯世者、未見斯人之穢行、較生而復死者、尤為幸甚。

較此二者、未生於世、未見日下所作之惡事者更為幸、○

But better than both is the one who has never been born, who has not seen the evil that is done under the sun.

But someone who hasn’t been born yet is better off than the dead or the living. That’s because that person hasn’t seen the evil things that are done on earth.

But better than both is he who has not yet been and has not seen the evil deeds that are done under the sun.

But most fortunate of all are those who are not yet born. For they have not seen all the evil that is done under the sun.

But better than either of them is the one who has not yet existed, who has not seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.

But better off than both of them is the one who has never existed, who has never seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.

Yet, better than both is he who has never existed, Who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

yea, better than them both did I esteem him that hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

But better than either of them is the one who has not yet existed, who has not seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.

Yea, better[ is he] than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

But better than both is the one who has not been born and has not seen the evil things that are done on earth.

Yes, better than them both is him who has not yet been, who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

因為日子將到，人要說：『不生育的、未曾懷孕的，和未曾哺乳孩子的有福了！』

人若生一百個兒子，活許多歲數；他即使壽命很長，心裏卻不因福樂而滿足，又不得埋葬；我說，那流掉的胎比他倒好。因為這胎虛虛而來，暗暗而去，名字被黑暗遮蔽，而且沒有見過天日，甚麼都不知道，這胎比那人倒享安息。

在那些日子，懷孕的和奶孩子的就苦了。

因它沒有把懷我胎的門關閉，也沒有從我的眼中隱藏患難。「我為何不出母胎而死？為何不出母腹就氣絕呢？為何有膝蓋接收我？為何有奶哺養我呢？不然，我現在已躺臥安睡，而且，早已長眠安息；與那些為自己重建荒涼之處，地上的君王和謀士在一起；或與把銀子裝滿房屋，擁有金子的王子在一起；我為何不像流產的胎兒被埋藏，如同未見光的嬰孩？

他們尋見墳墓，就歡喜快樂，極其高興。

「你為何使我出母胎呢？甚願我當時氣絕，沒有眼睛看見我。這樣，就如從未有過我，我一出母胎就被送入墳墓。

我見日光之下所發生的一切事，看哪，全是虛空，全是捕風。

我說：「但願我有翅膀像鴿子，我就飛去，得享安息。看哪，我要遠走高飛，宿在曠野。（細拉）我要速速逃到避難之所，脫離狂風暴雨。」主啊，求你吞滅他們，變亂他們的言語！因為我在城中見了兇暴爭吵的事。他們晝夜在城牆上繞行，城內也有罪孽和奸惡。邪惡在其中，欺壓和詭詐不離街市。

惟願在曠野有旅客的客棧，我好離開我的百姓而去；因他們全都行姦淫，是行詭詐的一黨。他們彎起舌頭像弓，為要說謊話；他們在國中增長勢力，不是為誠信。他們惡上加惡，並不認識我。這是耶和華說的。

於是我恨惡生命，因為在日光之下所發生的事我都以為煩惱，全是虛空，全是捕風。

因他沒有在我未出胎就把我殺了，以致我母親成為我的墳墓，她卻一直懷着胎。我為何出胎見勞碌愁苦，在羞愧中度盡我的年日呢？
