人之畢生、虛度之日如影、何者有益於彼、孰其知之、逝世之後、日下將有何事、孰能告之、

人生斯世、歷日無幾、如影沉西、逝世之後、不識復有何事、以是觀之、安在所謂真福。

人生於世、為日無多、虛空若影、孰能知在世之時、何者為益、人逝世後、將有何事於日下、孰能告之、

For who knows what is good for a person in life, during the few and meaningless days they pass through like a shadow? Who can tell them what will happen under the sun after they are gone?

Who knows what’s good for a person? They live for only a few meaningless days. They pass through life like a shadow. Who can tell them what will happen on earth after they are gone?

For who knows what is good for man while he lives the few days of his vain life, which he passes like a shadow? For who can tell man what will be after him under the sun?

In the few days of our meaningless lives, who knows how our days can best be spent? Our lives are like a shadow. Who can tell what will happen on this earth after we are gone?

For who knows what is good for anyone in life, in the few days of his futile life that he spends like a shadow? Who can tell anyone what will happen after him under the sun?

For who knows what is good for a person during his lifetime, during the few years of his futile life? He will spend them like a shadow. For who can tell a person what will happen after him under the sun?

For who knows what is good for man in life, all the days of his vain life which he passes like a shadow? Who can tell a man what will happen after him under the sun?

其实明天怎样，你们并不知道。你们的生命是什么呢？你们本来是过眼云烟，转瞬之间就消逝了。

他生长如花，又遭割下；他飞去如影，并不停留。

我心里说：“耶和华是我的业分，所以，我必仰望他。”耶和华善待等候他的和心里寻求他的人。安静等候耶和华的救恩，是多么的美好！人在幼年时就负轭，是多么的美好！

因此我看人最好是在自己所作的事上自得其乐，因为这也是他的分；谁能使他看见他自己死后的事呢？

恶人却没有福乐，也得不到长寿；他好像影子的短暂，因为他在神面前不存敬畏的心。

人不过像一口气，他的年日仿佛影子消逝。

你使我的日子窄如手掌，我的一生在你面前如同无有；各人站得最稳的时候，也只不过是一口气。（细拉）世人来来往往只是幻影，他们忙乱也是虚空；积聚财物，却不知道谁要来收取。

他不晓得未来的事，将来要发生什么，谁能告诉他呢？

我们一生的年日是七十岁，如果强壮，可到八十岁，但其中可夸耀的，不过是劳苦愁烦；我们的年日转眼即逝，我们也如飞而去了。谁晓得你怒气的威力，谁按着你该受的敬畏晓得你的忿怒呢？求你教导我们怎样数算自己的日子，好使我们得着智慧的心。

至于我，我必在义中得见你的面；我醒来的时候，得见你的形象就心满意足。

求你记念我的一生多么短暂，你创造的世人是多么虚幻呢！

我的年日好像日影偏斜，我也好像草一般枯干。

世人哪！耶和华已经指示你什么是善，他向你所要的又是什么；无非是要你行公义，好怜悯，谦虚谨慎与你的神同行。

他们的爱，他们的恨，他们的嫉妒，都早已消失了，在日光之下所发生的一切事，永远也没有他们的分了。

我们在你面前是客旅，是寄居的，像我们的列祖一样；我们在世上的日子好像影儿，没有指望。

我像日影倾斜，渐渐消逝，又像蝗虫被抖掉。

我们只是昨天才有的，所以一无所知；我们在世的日子不过是影儿。

有许多人说：“谁能指示我们得什么好处呢？”耶和华啊！求你仰起你的脸，光照我们。

他的儿女得尊荣，他并不晓得，他们降为卑，他也不觉得，

你们一切都听见了，总而言之，应当敬畏神，谨守他的诫命，因为这是每一个人的本分。

他为我们选择了我们的产业，就是他所爱的雅各的荣耀。（细拉）

我心里筹思，怎样用酒使我的身体畅快，又保持愚昧，但我的内心仍由智慧引导；直到我看明世人，在诸天之下一生有限的年日中所行的，对他们有益的是什么。

耶和华是我的产业，是我杯中的分；我所得的业分，你亲自为我持守。
