God said to Solomon,“ Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, (niv)

A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days. (niv)

In all this my wisdom stayed with me.I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my labor, and this was the reward for all my toil. (niv)

For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land— a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills;a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey;a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. The Lord highly exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him royal splendor such as no king over Israel ever had before. (niv)
