我的心仍在寻觅，却还找不到，就是在一千个男人中，我找到一个正直人，但在所有的女人中，连一个也找不到。

我继续寻找，却未找到；一千当中，我找到一个男的，但在这一切当中，却找不到一个女的。

就是我心裏屢次尋找着，而未曾找到的：在一千人中我找到了一個正直的男人，但女人呢，在一千人之中、我卻找不到一個正直的。

我心所求、猶未遇者、千男之中、我得其一、眾女之中、不得其一、

我心又有所尋、而未尋得、千男之中、猶可得一俊士、千女之中、未必得一哲婦、

while I was still searching but not finding— I found one upright man among a thousand, but not one upright woman among them all.

I searched and searched but found very little. I did find one honest man among a thousand. But I didn’t find one honest woman among a thousand.

which my soul has sought repeatedly, but I have not found. One man among a thousand I found, but a woman among all these I have not found.

Though I have searched repeatedly, I have not found what I was looking for. Only one out of a thousand men is virtuous, but not one woman!

which my soul continually searches for but does not find: I found one person in a thousand, but none of those was a woman.

在一千位天使之中，若有一位作人的中保，指示人当行的事，

所罗门王除了法老的女儿以外，又宠爱许多外族女子，就是摩押女子、亚扪女子、以东女子、西顿女子和赫人女子等。关于这些国家的人，耶和华曾经吩咐以色列人：“你们不可与他们往来通婚，否则他们必会引诱你们的心，去随从他们的神。”但所罗门深深爱恋这些女子。所罗门有妃七百，都是公主；有嫔三百。他的妃嫔使他的心偏离了神。

耶和华啊！求你施行拯救，因为虔诚人没有了，在世人中的信实人也不见了。

夜间我的心渴想你，我里面的灵切切寻求你，因为你的审判临到大地的时候，世上的居民就会学习到什么是公义了。

这一切我都用智慧试验过。我说：“我要得智慧”，智慧却远离我。那离得远又极深奥的，谁能找到呢？
