于是我看见了神的一切作为，知道在日光之下所发生的事，人不能查明；尽管人劳碌寻查，总是查不出来；即使智慧人以为知道了，还是查不出来。

我就看明上帝一切的作為，知道日光之下所常發生的事、人總不能查出；任憑人怎樣勞碌去尋查，就使他晝夜眼都沒見過睡覺，也查不出；就使智慧人心裏說、快要知道了，他還是不能查出。

我就看到神一切的作為：沒有人能查找在日光之下所發生的事，即使人怎樣勞苦地尋找，他也找不出來；即使智慧人說自己明白，他也不能找到。

我見上帝之經綸、知人不能測日下所為之事、雖勞而求之、終不能得、智者雖欲知之、亦不能得也、

亦見有人、欲觀上帝之經綸、竭其心思、而不能得、有智之士、雖欲知之、亦不及知。

我觀天主之經綸、知人不能明日下所有之事、雖勞以求之、亦不能得、即智者曰、我可知之、終亦不能得、

then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all their efforts to search it out, no one can discover its meaning. Even if the wise claim they know, they cannot really comprehend it.

I saw everything God has done. No one can understand what happens on earth. People might try very hard to figure it out. But they still can’t discover what it all means. Wise people might claim they know. But they can’t really understand it either.

then I saw all the work of God, that man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. However much man may toil in seeking, he will not find it out. Even though a wise man claims to know, he cannot find it out.

I realized that no one can discover everything God is doing under the sun. Not even the wisest people discover everything, no matter what they claim.

I observed all the work of God and concluded that a person is unable to discover the work that is done under the sun. Even though a person labors hard to explore it, he cannot find it; even if a wise person claims to know it, he is unable to discover it.

and I saw every work of God, I concluded that one cannot discover the work which has been done under the sun. Even though a person laboriously seeks, he will not discover; and even if the wise person claims to know, he cannot discover.

then I saw all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. For though a man labors to discover it, yet he will not find it; moreover, though a wise man attempts to know it, he will not be able to find it.

then I beheld all the work of God, that man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because however much a man labor to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea moreover, though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.

I observed all the work of God and concluded that man is unable to discover the work that is done under the sun. Even though a man labors hard to explore it, he cannot find it; even if the wise man claims to know it, he is unable to discover it.

Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek[ it] out, yet he shall not find[ it]; yea further; though a wise[ man] think to know[ it], yet shall he not be able to find[ it].

then I discerned all that God has done: No one really comprehends what happens on earth. Despite all human efforts to discover it, no one can ever grasp it. Even if a wise person claimed that he understood, he would not really comprehend it.

then I saw all the work of God, that man can’t find out the work that is done under the sun, because however much a man labors to seek it out, yet he won’t find it. Yes even though a wise man thinks he can comprehend it, he won’t be able to find it.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (niv)

When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply (niv)

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! (niv)

He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. (niv)

All this I tested by wisdom and I said,“ I am determined to be wise”— but this was beyond me.Whatever exists is far off and most profound— who can discover it? (niv)

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. (niv)

As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. (niv)

I have not learned wisdom, nor have I attained to the knowledge of the Holy One.Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son? Surely you know! (niv)

Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare. (niv)

How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. (niv)

“ Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?They are higher than the heavens above— what can you do? They are deeper than the depths below— what can you know?Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea. (niv)
