Keep the king’s command because of your oath made before God.

我劝你遵守王的命令；既指神起誓，理当如此。

我劝你因上帝誓言的缘故，当遵守王的命令。

我劝你因神誓言的缘故，当遵守王的命令。

我劝你遵守王的命令，因为你曾在上帝面前这样发誓。

我劝你，因为你指着神起了誓，你就要遵守王的命令。

我劝你遵守王的命令，因为你向神起了誓；

我勸你遵守王的命令；既指神起誓，理當如此。

我勸你因上帝誓言的緣故，當遵守王的命令。

我勸你因神誓言的緣故，當遵守王的命令。

我勸你遵守王的命令，因為你曾在上帝面前這樣發誓。

我勸你，因為你指著神起了誓，你就要遵守王的命令。

王的命令你要遵守，這是為了你曾指着上帝來起誓的緣故。

我勸你遵守王的命令，因為你向神起了誓；

我曰、當守王命、因指上帝而誓矣、

既指上帝而誓、必守王命、勿謀不軌、勿致位而不辭、爾若是、恐干王怒、蓋發號出令、由王獨斷。

我言爾當守王命、既指天主而誓、自當如此、

Obey the king’s command, I say, because you took an oath before God.

I’m telling you to obey the king’s command. You promised to serve him. You made a promise to God.

I say: Keep the king’s command, because of God’s oath to him.

Obey the king since you vowed to God that you would.

Keep the king’s command because of your oath made before God.

I say,“ Keep the command of the king because of the oath before God.

I say,“ Keep the king’s commandment for the sake of your oath to God.

I counsel thee, Keep the king’s command, and that in regard of the oath of God.

I[ counsel thee] to keep the king’s commandment, and[ that] in regard of the oath of God.

Obey the king’s command, because you took an oath before God to be loyal to him.

I say,“ Keep the king’s command!” because of the oath to God.

So why have you not kept the Lord’s oath and the command that I gave you?”

Submit to every human authority because of the Lord, whether to the Emperor as the supreme authorityor to governors as those sent out by him to punish those who do what is evil and to praise those who do what is good.For it is God’s will that you silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.As God’s slaves, live as free people, but don’t use your freedom as a way to conceal evil.Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the Emperor.

David spared Mephibosheth, the son of Saul’s son Jonathan, because of the oath of the Lord that was between David and Jonathan, Saul’s son.

He took one of the royal family and made a covenant with him, putting him under oath. Then he took away the leading men of the land,so the kingdom might be humble and not exalt itself but might keep his covenant in order to endure.However, this king revolted against him by sending his ambassadors to Egypt so they might give him horses and a large army. Can he break a covenant and still escape?“ As I live”— this is the declaration of the Lord God—“ he will die in Babylon, in the land of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke.Pharaoh will not help him with his great army and vast horde in battle, when ramps are built and siege walls constructed to destroy many lives.He despised the oath by breaking the covenant. He did all these things even though he gave his hand in pledge. He will not escape!”Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ As I live, I will bring down on his head My oath that he despised and My covenant that he broke.I will spread My net over him, and he will be caught in My snare. I will bring him to Babylon and execute judgment on him there for the treachery he committed against Me.

My son, fear the Lord, as well as the king, and don’t associate with rebels,

Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God.So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves.For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have its approval.For government is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, because it does not carry the sword for no reason. For government is God’s servant, an avenger that brings wrath on the one who does wrong.Therefore, you must submit, not only because of wrath, but also because of your conscience.

there must be an oath before the Lord between the two of them to determine whether or not he has taken his neighbor’s property. Its owner must accept the oath, and the other man does not have to make restitution.

All the leaders and the mighty men, and all of King David’s sons as well, pledged their allegiance to King Solomon.

Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work,
