For consider your calling, brothers and sisters, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the insignificant things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,so that no human may boast before God.

How did He open your eyes?”He answered them,“ I told you already and you did not listen; why do you want to hear it again? You do not want to become His disciples too, do you?”They spoke abusively to him and said,“ You are His disciple, but we are disciples of Moses. We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, we do not know where He is from.”The man answered and said to them,“ Well, here is the amazing thing, that you do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes!We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if someone is God fearing and does His will, He listens to him.Since the beginning of time it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind. If this man were not from God, He could do nothing.”They answered him,“ You were born entirely in sins, and yet you are teaching us?” So they put him out.

James 2:2-6
For if a man comes into your assembly with a gold ring and is dressed in bright clothes, and a poor man in dirty clothes also comes in,and you pay special attention to the one who is wearing the bright clothes, and say,“ You sit here in a good place,” and you say to the poor man,“ You stand over there, or sit down by my footstool,”have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil motives?Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters: did God not choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?But you have dishonored the poor man. Is it not the rich who oppress you and personally drag you into court?
