His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, (niv)

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (niv)

and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (niv)

Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: (niv)

It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. (niv)

Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever,the twenty- four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:“ You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” (niv)
