For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—

I, Paul, am a prisoner because of Christ Jesus. I am in prison because of my work among you who are Gentiles.

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles,—

For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles–

For this cause I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles,

Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received,

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I am completing in my flesh what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for his body, that is, the church.

For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough to speak about it as I should.

I appeal to you, instead, on the basis of love. I, Paul, as an elderly man and now also as a prisoner of Christ Jesus,

So don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, or of me his prisoner. Instead, share in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God.

so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard, and to everyone else, that my imprisonment is because I am in Christ.Most of the brothers have gained confidence in the Lord from my imprisonment and dare even more to speak the word fearlessly.To be sure, some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of good will.These preach out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel;

Indeed, it is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart, and you are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother: To Philemon our dear friend and coworker,

But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you. They will hand you over to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors because of my name.

So he took him, brought him to the commander, and said,“ The prisoner Paul called me and asked me to bring this young man to you, because he has something to tell you.”

After three days he called together the leaders of the Jews. When they had gathered he said to them,“ Brothers, although I have done nothing against our people or the customs of our ancestors, I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.After they examined me, they wanted to release me, since there was no reason for the death penalty in my case.Because the Jews objected, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar; even though I had no charge to bring against my people.For this reason I’ve asked to see you and speak to you. In fact, it is for the hope of Israel that I’m wearing this chain.”

“ I wish before God,” replied Paul,“ that whether easily or with difficulty, not only you but all who listen to me today might become as I am— except for these chains.”

Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you greetings, and so do

who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us. They displease God and are hostile to everyone,by keeping us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. As a result, they are constantly filling up their sins to the limit, and wrath has overtaken them at last.

I, Paul, am writing this greeting with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.

May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.

Now I, Paul, myself, appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ— I who am humble among you in person but bold toward you when absent.

Are they servants of Christ? I’m talking like a madman— I’m a better one: with far more labors, many more imprisonments, far worse beatings, many times near death.

for which I suffer to the point of being bound like a criminal. But the word of God is not bound.This is why I endure all things for the elect: so that they also may obtain salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will experience affliction for ten days. Be faithful to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.

At the same time, pray also for us that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains,

Then the commander approached, took him into custody, and ordered him to be bound with two chains. He asked who he was and what he had done.

So, then, I ask you not to be discouraged over my afflictions on your behalf, for they are your glory.

Now brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

Take note! I, Paul, am telling you that if you get yourselves circumcised, Christ will not benefit you at all.
