He also showed them how glorious his kingdom was.When those days were over, the king gave another feast. It lasted for seven days. It was held in the garden of the king’s courtyard. It was for all the people who lived in the fort of Susa. Everyone from the least important person to the most important was invited.

He said,“ Suppose someone invites you to a wedding feast. Do not take the place of honor. A person more important than you may have been invited.

come out.“ Look, you women of Zion. Look at King Solomon wearing his crown. His mother placed it on him. She did it on his wedding day. His heart was full of joy.”

The Levites calmed all the people down. They said,“ Be quiet. This is a holy day. So don’t be sad.”

Royal wine was served in gold cups. Each cup was different from all the others. There was plenty of wine. The king always provided as much as his guests wanted.

So Laban brought all the people of the place together and had a feast prepared.

“ Here is what the kingdom of heaven is like. A king prepared a wedding dinner for his son.

Ask your own servants. They’ll tell you. We’ve come to you now at a happy time of the year. Please be kind to my men. Please give me and my men anything you can find for us.’ ”

“ My bride, I have come into my garden. My sister, I’ve gathered my myrrh and my spice. I’ve eaten my honeycomb and my honey. I’ve drunk my wine and my milk.”“ Friends, eat and drink. Drink up all the love you want.”

Mordecai told the Jews to celebrate the time when they got rest from their enemies. That was the month when their sadness was turned into joy. It was when their weeping turned into a day for celebrating. He wrote the letters to celebrate those days as times of joy. He wanted the people to enjoy good food. He told them to give presents of food to one another. He also wanted them to give gifts to people who were poor.

Samson’s father went down to see the woman. Samson had a feast prepared there. He was following the practice of young men when they married their wives.When the people saw Samson, they gave him 30 men to be his companions.“ Let me tell you a riddle,” Samson said to the companions.“ The feast will last for seven days. Give me the answer to the riddle before the feast ends. If you do, I’ll give you 30 linen shirts. I’ll also give you 30 sets of clothes.But suppose you can’t give me the answer. Then you must give me 30 linen shirts. You must also give me 30 sets of clothes.”“ Tell us your riddle,” they said.“ Let’s hear it.”Samson replied,“ Out of the eater came something to eat. Out of the strong came something sweet.” For three days they couldn’t give him the answer.On the fourth day they spoke to Samson’s wife.“ Get your husband to explain the riddle for us,” they said.“ If you don’t, we’ll burn you to death. We’ll burn up everyone in your family. Did you invite us here to steal our property?”Then Samson’s wife threw herself on him. She sobbed,“ You hate me! You don’t really love me. You have given my people a riddle. But you haven’t told me the answer.”“ I haven’t even explained it to my father or mother,” he replied.“ So why should I explain it to you?”She cried during the whole seven days the feast was going on. So on the seventh day he finally told her the answer to the riddle. That’s because she kept on asking him to tell her. Then she explained the riddle to her people.

Here is what the angel told me to write.“ Blessed are those invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” Then he added,“ These are the true words of God.”

Those who live on the earth will be happy about this. That’s because those two prophets had made them suffer. The people will celebrate by sending one another gifts.
