這時你若硬不作聲，那麼給予猶大人的濟助和援救總會從別處應時而起的，那麼你和你父的家就會滅亡了。你怎麼知道你之得了王后位分、不是為了此次這機會而得的呢？』

如果你在這個時候沉默不語，幫助和解救就會從別的地方為猶太人興起，而你和你的父家將會滅亡。誰知道，你得了王后之位，或許就是為了這樣一個時候！」

今爾得居后位、焉知非為此會、如爾斯時緘默無言、則猶大人必從他方、得解脫、蒙拯救、惟爾與父家、將見剿滅耳、

今爾居尊位、意者將使爾保全我族、未可知也、如爾竟無一言、必有他人援手、恐爾與全家、卒見剿滅耳。

此時、爾若緘默不言、猶大人或自他處得解脫救援、爾與爾父家必皆滅亡、其時難保爾仍居后位、或作爾居后位正為欲爾救我族今日之難亦未可知爾若緘默不言猶大人或自他處得解脫救援爾與父家必皆滅亡

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

What if you don’t say anything at this time? Then help for the Jews will come from another place. But you and your family will die. Who knows? It’s possible that you became queen for a time just like this.”

If you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place, but you and your father’s family will be destroyed. Who knows, perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.”

For if you keep silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then will relief and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place, but thou and thy father’s house will perish: and who knoweth whether thou art not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

If you keep silent at this time, liberation and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place, but you and your father’s house will be destroyed. Who knows, perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.”

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time,[ then] shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for[ such] a time as this?

“ Don’t imagine that because you are part of the king’s household you will be the one Jew who will escape. If you keep quiet at this time, liberation and protection for the Jews will appear from another source, while you and your father’s household perish. It may very well be that you have achieved royal status for such a time as this!”

For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

And Joseph said to his brothers,“ Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said:“ I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and Lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

For the Lord will not forsake His people, for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you His people.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

“ For the Lord will judge His people And have compassion on His servants, When He sees that their power is gone, And there is no one remaining, bond or free.

For I am with you,’ says the Lord,‘ to save you; Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, Yet I will not make a complete end of you. But I will correct you in justice, And will not let you go altogether unpunished.’

“ Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are on the sinful kingdom, And I will destroy it from the face of the earth; Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” Says the Lord.“ For surely I will command, And will sift the house of Israel among all nations, As grain is sifted in a sieve; Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground.

And I said,“ Should such a man as I flee? And who is there such as I who would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in!”

And Mordecai had brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman was lovely and beautiful. When her father and mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter.

“ Have you not considered what these people have spoken, saying,‘ The two families which the Lord has chosen, He has also cast them off’? Thus they have despised My people, as if they should no more be a nation before them.“ Thus says the Lord:‘ If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth,then I will cast away the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his descendants to be rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will cause their captives to return, and will have mercy on them.’”

I would have said,“ I will dash them in pieces, I will make the memory of them to cease from among men,”Had I not feared the wrath of the enemy, Lest their adversaries should misunderstand, Lest they should say,“ Our hand is high; And it is not the Lord who has done all this.”’

And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

But it came to pass on the seventh day that they said to Samson’s wife,“ Entice your husband, that he may explain the riddle to us, or else we will burn you and your father’s house with fire. Have you invited us in order to take what is ours? Is that not so?”Then Samson’s wife wept on him, and said,“ You only hate me! You do not love me! You have posed a riddle to the sons of my people, but you have not explained it to me.” And he said to her,“ Look, I have not explained it to my father or my mother; so should I explain it to you?”Now she had wept on him the seven days while their feast lasted. And it happened on the seventh day that he told her, because she pressed him so much. Then she explained the riddle to the sons of her people.So the men of the city said to him on the seventh day before the sun went down:“ What is sweeter than honey? And what is stronger than a lion?” And he said to them:“ If you had not plowed with my heifer, You would not have solved my riddle!”

And David said,“ What have I done now? Is there not a cause?”

“ Thus says the Lord to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held— To subdue nations before him And loose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut:‘ I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron.I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.For Jacob My servant’s sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me.I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me,

And they said to him,“ Thus says Hezekiah:‘ This day is a day of trouble, and rebuke, and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth.

He will not allow me to catch my breath, But fills me with bitterness.

Then the Philistines said,“ Who has done this?” And they answered,“ Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken his wife and given her to his companion.” So the Philistines came up and burned her and her father with fire.

And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day,“ In the Mount of The Lord it shall be provided.”
