On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace, in front of the king’s hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the hall, facing the entrance.

Now on the third day, Esther put on her royal clothing, and stood in the inner court of the king’s house, next to the king’s house. The king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, next to the entrance of the house.

“你要去，把書珊城所有的猶大人都召集起來，為我禁食三天，就是三日三夜不吃不喝；我和我的婢女也要這樣禁食。然後我就違例進去見王；我若是死，就死吧。”

得勝的，我必定賜他和我一同坐在我的寶座上，正像我得了勝和我父一同坐在他的寶座上一樣。

王問：“誰在院子裡？”那時哈曼正進了王宮的外院，要求王把末底改掛在哈曼為他預備的木架上。

不要單注重外表的裝飾，就如鬈頭髮、戴金飾、穿華麗衣服；卻要在裡面存著溫柔安靜的心靈，作不能毀壞的裝飾，這在神面前是極寶貴的。因為古時仰望神的聖潔婦女，正是這樣裝飾自己，順服丈夫，

“王所有的臣僕和各省的人民，都知道有一條法令：無論男女，沒有奉召就擅入內院去見王的，除非王向他伸出金杖，賜他免死，一律要處以死刑。現在我沒有奉召進去見王已經三十天了。”

末底改穿著紫藍色和白色的朝服，戴著碩大的金冠冕，又披上紫色細麻布的外袍，從王面前出來；書珊城的人都歡呼快樂。

叫你們在我的國裡坐在我的席上吃喝，又坐在寶座上審判以色列的十二支派。

你們出去到底要看甚麼？身穿華麗衣裳的人嗎？那些穿著華麗衣裳的人，是在王宮裡的。

王又做了一個象牙大寶座，貼上了精金。那寶座有六級臺階，寶座的後背有一個圓頂，座處的兩旁有一個扶手。扶手的旁邊各有一隻獅子站立著。在六級臺階上共有十二隻獅子站著，左邊一隻，右邊一隻。在列國中都沒有這樣做過。

所以請你下令把墳墓嚴密看守，直到第三天，免得他的門徒來把他偷去，然後對民眾說：‘他從死人中復活了。’這樣，日後的騙局比起初的就更大了。”

去請王后瓦實提，戴著后冕到王面前，使眾人和大臣欣賞她的美麗；因為她的容貌很美。

“現在，我差派你們出去，好像羊進到狼群中間；所以你們要像蛇一樣機警，像鴿子一樣純潔。
