哈曼進來了，王問他：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，應該怎麼對待他呢？」哈曼心裡說：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，除我以外，還會有誰呢？」

哈曼就进去。王问他说：“王所喜悦尊荣的人，当如何待他呢？”哈曼心里说：“王所喜悦尊荣的，不是我是谁呢？”

哈曼就进去。王对他说：“王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，当如何待他呢？”哈曼心里说：“王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，除了我，还有谁呢？”

When Haman entered, the king asked him,“ What should be done for the man the king delights to honor?” Now Haman thought to himself,“ Who is there that the king would rather honor than me?”

Haman entered. Then the king asked him,“ What should be done for the man I want to honor?” Haman said to himself,“ Is there anyone the king would rather honor than me?”

So Haman came in, and the king said to him,“ What should be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” And Haman said to himself,“ Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in, and the king said,“ What should I do to honor a man who truly pleases me?” Haman thought to himself,“ Whom would the king wish to honor more than me?”

Haman entered, and the king asked him,“ What should be done for the man the king wants to honor?” Haman thought to himself,“ Who is it the king would want to honor more than me?”

Haman then came in and the king said to him,“ What is to be done for the man whom the king desires to honor?” And Haman said to himself,“ Whom would the king desire to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in, and the king asked him,“ What shall be done for the man whom the king delights to honor?” Now Haman thought in his heart,“ Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor? Now Haman said in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honor more than to myself?

Haman entered, and the king asked him,“ What should be done for the man the king wants to honor?” Haman thought to himself,“ Who is it the king would want to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?

So Haman came in, and the king said to him,“ What should be done for the man whom the king wishes to honor?” Haman thought to himself,“ Who is it that the king would want to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in. The king said to him,“ What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” Now Haman said in his heart,“ Who would the king delight to honor more than myself?”

破敗以先，必有驕傲；絆跌之前，靈裡高慢。

哈曼向他們講述了他的富貴榮華、他兒女的眾多，以及王怎樣高抬他、提拔他高過首領們和王的臣僕們的一切事。

在御門那裡王所有的臣僕都向哈曼屈身下拜，因為王如此吩咐；但末迪凱既不屈身，也不下拜。在御門那裡王的臣僕們就問末迪凱：「你為什麼違背王的命令呢？」

願那些喜歡我被顯為義的，都歡呼歡喜；願他們常常說：「當尊耶和華為大！耶和華喜悅他的僕人平安。」

哈曼就對王說：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，

要知道，無知人的背道將害死自己，愚昧人的安樂將毀了自己；

這時候，忽然有聲音從諸天傳來，說：「這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。」

好使所有的人都尊重子，就像尊重父那樣。不尊重子的，就是不尊重派他來的父。

破敗之前，人心自高；榮耀之前，先有謙卑。

這世代的眼目多麼高傲！連他的眼皮也高高抬起。

把衣袍和馬交在王的一個貴族首領的手中，給王願意賜予尊榮的人穿上衣袍，使他騎上馬，然後領他走遍城市廣場，並在他前面宣告：『王願意賜予尊榮的人，就要這樣對待他！』」

「看哪，我的僕人——我所扶持、我所揀選、我心所喜悅的！我已經把我的靈賜給他，他必給列國帶來公正。

你不再被稱為「遭遺棄的」，你的地也不再被稱為「荒涼的」；你必被稱為「我所喜悅的」，你的地也必被稱為「有丈夫的」；因為耶和華喜悅你，你的地也必有丈夫。青年人怎樣娶處女，重建你的也怎樣娶你；新郎怎樣因新娘而喜樂，你的神也怎樣因你而歡喜。

哈曼就把衣袍和馬帶來，給末迪凱穿上衣袍，使他騎上馬，然後領他走遍城市廣場，並在他前面宣告：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，就要這樣對待他！」
