So Haman came in, and the king said to him,“ What should be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” And Haman said to himself,“ Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?”

哈曼就进去。王问他说：“王所喜悦尊荣的人，当如何待他呢？”哈曼心里说：“王所喜悦尊荣的，不是我是谁呢？”

When Haman entered, the king asked him,“ What should be done for the man the king delights to honor?” Now Haman thought to himself,“ Who is there that the king would rather honor than me?”

Haman entered. Then the king asked him,“ What should be done for the man I want to honor?” Haman said to himself,“ Is there anyone the king would rather honor than me?”

So Haman came in, and the king said,“ What should I do to honor a man who truly pleases me?” Haman thought to himself,“ Whom would the king wish to honor more than me?”

Haman then came in and the king said to him,“ What is to be done for the man whom the king desires to honor?” And Haman said to himself,“ Whom would the king desire to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in, and the king asked him,“ What shall be done for the man whom the king delights to honor?” Now Haman thought in his heart,“ Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor? Now Haman said in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honor more than to myself?

Haman entered, and the king asked him,“ What should be done for the man the king wants to honor?” Haman thought to himself,“ Who is it the king would want to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?

So Haman came in. The king said to him,“ What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” Now Haman said in his heart,“ Who would the king delight to honor more than myself?”

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rock, in your lofty dwelling, who say in your heart,“ Who will bring me down to the ground?”

And Haman recounted to them the splendor of his riches, the number of his sons, all the promotions with which the king had honored him, and how he had advanced him above the officials and the servants of the king.

And all the king’s servants who were at the king’s gate bowed down and paid homage to Haman, for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai did not bow down or pay homage.Then the king’s servants who were at the king’s gate said to Mordecai,“ Why do you transgress the king’s command?”

Let those who delight in my righteousness shout for joy and be glad and say evermore,“ Great is the Lord, who delights in the welfare of his servant!”

And Haman said to the king,“ For the man whom the king delights to honor,

For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacency of fools destroys them;

and behold, a voice from heaven said,“ This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.

that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

Before destruction a man’s heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

There are those— how lofty are their eyes, how high their eyelids lift!

And let the robes and the horse be handed over to one of the king’s most noble officials. Let them dress the man whom the king delights to honor, and let them lead him on the horse through the square of the city, proclaiming before him:‘ Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.’”

Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.

You shall no more be termed Forsaken, and your land shall no more be termed Desolate, but you shall be called My Delight Is in Her, and your land Married; for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married.For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

So Haman took the robes and the horse, and he dressed Mordecai and led him through the square of the city, proclaiming before him,“ Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.”
