Queen Esther replied,“ If I have met with your approval, O king, and if the king is so inclined, grant me my life as my request, and my people as my petition.

以斯帖王后回答说：“王啊，我若在你眼前蒙恩，王若以为好，我所要的，是王把我的性命赐给我；我所求的，是求我的本族。

以斯帖回答说：“我若得到王的恩宠，王若愿意，就请王把我的性命和我本族人的性命赐给我——这是我所求的。

王后以斯帖回答，说：“我若是在你眼前蒙恩，王若是喜欢，我所要的，是要王把我的性命赐给我；我所求的，是求王把我的族人赐给我。

王后以斯帖回应说：“王啊，如果我在你眼前蒙恩，如果王认为好，就请王把我的性命赐予我，作为回应我的请求；也请王把我的民族赐予我，作为回应我所求的；

王后以斯帖回應說：「王啊，如果我在你眼前蒙恩，如果王認為好，就請王把我的性命賜予我，作為回應我的請求；也請王把我的民族賜予我，作為回應我所求的；

后以斯帖對曰、我若沾恩於王前、且王悅之、則請依我所求、賜我生命、依我所欲、保我民族、

對曰、如王悅施恩婢子、則俯聽我祈、宥我生命、救我民族。

后以斯帖曰、我若蒙恩於王前、王若樂允、我所欲王賜我者乃我之生命、我所求王賜我者乃我之民族、或作求王救我生命求王救我民族

Then Queen Esther answered,“ If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if it pleases you, grant me my life— this is my petition. And spare my people— this is my request.

Then Queen Esther answered,“ Your Majesty, I hope you will be pleased to let me live. That’s what I want. Please spare my people. That’s my appeal to you.

Then Queen Esther answered,“ If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be granted me for my wish, and my people for my request.

Queen Esther replied,“ If I have found favor with the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my request, I ask that my life and the lives of my people will be spared.

Queen Esther answered,“ If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if the king is pleased, spare my life; this is my request. And spare my people; this is my desire.

Then Queen Esther replied,“ If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me as my request, and my people as my wish;

Then Queen Esther answered and said,“ If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.

Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favor in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

Queen Esther answered,“ If I have obtained your approval, my king, and if the king is pleased, spare my life— this is my request; and spare my people— this is my desire.

Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

Then Esther the queen answered,“ If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.

If they do this, tell them,‘ I was pleading with the king not to send me back to die in the dungeon of Jonathan’s house.’”

But Satan answered the LORD,“ Skin for skin! Indeed, a man will give up all that he has to save his life!

The king sent a third captain and his fifty soldiers. This third captain went up and fell on his knees before Elijah. He begged for mercy,“ Prophet, please have respect for my life and for the lives of these fifty servants of yours.

He also gave him a written copy of the law that had been disseminated in Susa for their destruction so that he could show it to Esther and talk to her about it. He also gave instructions that she should go to the king to implore him and petition him on behalf of her people.

If I have found favor in the king’s sight and if the king is inclined to grant my request and perform my petition, let the king and Haman come tomorrow to the banquet that I will prepare for them. At that time I will do as the king wishes.

In rage the king arose from the banquet of wine and withdrew to the palace garden. Meanwhile, Haman stood to beg Queen Esther for his life, for he realized that the king had now determined a catastrophic end for him.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May those who love her prosper!May there be peace inside your defenses, and prosperity inside your fortresses!For the sake of my brothers and my neighbors I will say,“ May there be peace in you!”For the sake of the temple of the LORD our God I will pray for you to prosper.

His advisers said to him,“ Look, we have heard that the kings of the Israelite dynasty are kind. Allow us to put sackcloth around our waists and ropes on our heads and surrender to the king of Israel. Maybe he will spare our lives.”
