Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said,“ A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman’s house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king.” The king said,“ Impale him on it!”

Then Harbona said,“ There’s a pole standing near Haman’s house. He has prepared it for Mordecai. Mordecai is the one who spoke up to help you. Haman had planned to have him put to death. He was going to have the pole stuck through his body. Then he was going to set it up at a place where it would be 75 feet above the ground.” Harbona was one of the officials who attended the king. The king said to his men,“ Put Haman to death! Stick the pole through his body! Set it up where everyone can see it!”

Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs in attendance on the king, said,“ Moreover, the gallows that Haman has prepared for Mordecai, whose word saved the king, is standing at Haman’s house, fifty cubits high.” And the king said,“ Hang him on that.”

Then Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ Haman has set up a sharpened pole that stands seventy five feet tall in his own courtyard. He intended to use it to impale Mordecai, the man who saved the king from assassination.”“ Then impale Haman on it!” the king ordered.

Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ There is a gallows seventy-five feet tall at Haman’s house that he made for Mordecai, who gave the report that saved the king.” The king said,“ Hang him on it.”

Now Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said to the king,“ Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the king’s behalf, is standing at the house of Haman.” Then the king said,“ Hang him on it!”

Then said Harbonah, one of the chamberlains that were before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman hath made for Mordecai, who spake good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. And the king said, Hang him thereon.

Harbona, one of the royal eunuchs, said:“ There is a gallows 75 feet tall at Haman’s house that he made for Mordecai, who gave the report that saved the king.” The king commanded,“ Hang him on it.”

And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ Indeed, there is the gallows that Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke out in the king’s behalf. It stands near Haman’s home and is seventy-five feet high.” The king said,“ Hang him on it!”

Then Harbonah, one of the eunuchs who were with the king said,“ Behold, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman has made for Mordecai, who spoke good for the king, is standing at Haman’s house.” The king said,“ Hang him on it!”

He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, And has fallen into the hole which he made.His harm will return on his own head, And his violence will descend on the top of his own head.

The righteousness of the blameless will smooth his way, But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.The righteousness of the upright will rescue them, But the treacherous will be caught by their own greed.

Then Zeresh his wife and all his friends said to him,“ Have a wooden gallows fifty cubits high made, and in the morning ask the king to have Mordecai hanged on it; then go joyfully with the king to the banquet.” And the advice pleased Haman, so he had the wooden gallows made.

On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was cheerful with wine, he ordered Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carkas, the seven eunuchs who served in the presence of King Ahasuerus,

Let destruction come upon him when he is unaware, And let the net which he hid catch him; Let him fall into that very destruction.

May the wicked fall into their own nets, While I pass by safely.

But when it came to the king’s attention, he commanded by letter that his wicked scheme which he had devised against the Jews was to return on his own head, and that he and his sons were to be hanged on the wooden gallows.

How they are destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by sudden terrors!

Then David ran and stood over the Philistine, and took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and finished him, and cut off his head with it. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.

In those days, while Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king’s officials from those who guarded the door, became angry and sought to attack King Ahasuerus.But the plot became known to Mordecai and he informed Queen Esther, and Esther told the king in Mordecai’s name.Then when the plot was investigated and found to be so, they were both hanged on a wooden gallows; and it was written in the Book of the Chronicles in the king’s presence.

Terrors overtake him like a flood; A storm steals him away in the night.The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; For it sweeps him away from his place.For it will hurl at him without mercy; He will certainly try to flee from its power.People will clap their hands at him, And will whistle at him from their places.

The king then gave orders, and they brought those men who had maliciously accused Daniel, and they threw them, their children, and their wives into the lions’ den; and they had not reached the bottom of the den before the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

While they were still talking with him, the king’s eunuchs arrived and quickly brought Haman to the banquet which Esther had prepared.

And it was found written what Mordecai had reported about Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs who were doorkeepers, that they had sought to attack King Ahasuerus.

I have seen a wicked, violent person Spreading himself like a luxuriant tree in its native soil.Then he passed away, and behold, he was no more; I searched for him, but he could not be found.

All the commissioners of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have consulted together that the king should establish a statute and enforce an injunction that anyone who offers a prayer to any god or person besides you, O king, for thirty days, shall be thrown into the lions’ den.

Then he raised his face toward the window and said,“ Who is with me, who?” And two or three officials looked down at him.
