Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said,“ A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman’s house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king.” The king said,“ Impale him on it!”

Then Harbona said,“ There’s a pole standing near Haman’s house. He has prepared it for Mordecai. Mordecai is the one who spoke up to help you. Haman had planned to have him put to death. He was going to have the pole stuck through his body. Then he was going to set it up at a place where it would be 75 feet above the ground.” Harbona was one of the officials who attended the king. The king said to his men,“ Put Haman to death! Stick the pole through his body! Set it up where everyone can see it!”

Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs in attendance on the king, said,“ Moreover, the gallows that Haman has prepared for Mordecai, whose word saved the king, is standing at Haman’s house, fifty cubits high.” And the king said,“ Hang him on that.”

Then Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ Haman has set up a sharpened pole that stands seventy five feet tall in his own courtyard. He intended to use it to impale Mordecai, the man who saved the king from assassination.”“ Then impale Haman on it!” the king ordered.

Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ There is a gallows seventy-five feet tall at Haman’s house that he made for Mordecai, who gave the report that saved the king.” The king said,“ Hang him on it.”

Then Harbonah, one of the eunuchs who stood before the king, said,“ Indeed, behold, the wooden gallows standing at Haman’s house fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai who spoke good in behalf of the king!” And the king said,“ Hang him on it.”

Now Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said to the king,“ Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the king’s behalf, is standing at the house of Haman.” Then the king said,“ Hang him on it!”

Then said Harbonah, one of the chamberlains that were before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman hath made for Mordecai, who spake good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. And the king said, Hang him thereon.

Harbona, one of the royal eunuchs, said:“ There is a gallows 75 feet tall at Haman’s house that he made for Mordecai, who gave the report that saved the king.” The king commanded,“ Hang him on it.”

And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

Then Harbonah, one of the eunuchs who were with the king said,“ Behold, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman has made for Mordecai, who spoke good for the king, is standing at Haman’s house.” The king said,“ Hang him on it!”

he digs a pit and then falls into the hole he has made.He becomes the victim of his own destructive plans and the violence he intended for others falls on his own head.

The righteousness of the blameless will make straight their way, but the wicked person will fall by his own wickedness.The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, but the faithless will be captured by their own desires.

Haman’s wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him,“ Have a gallows seventy-five feet high built, and in the morning tell the king that Mordecai should be hanged on it. Then go with the king to the banquet contented.” It seemed like a good idea to Haman, so he had the gallows built.

On the seventh day, as King Ahasuerus was feeling the effects of the wine, he ordered Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven eunuchs who attended him,

Let destruction take them by surprise! Let the net they hid catch them! Let them fall into destruction!

Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I escape.

But when the matter came to the king’s attention, the king gave written orders that Haman’s evil intentions that he had devised against the Jews should fall on his own head. He and his sons were hanged on the gallows.

How desolate they become in a mere moment! Terrifying judgments make their demise complete!

In those days while Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs who protected the entrance, became angry and plotted to assassinate King Ahasuerus.When Mordecai learned of the conspiracy, he informed Queen Esther, and Esther told the king in Mordecai’s behalf.The king then had the matter investigated and, finding it to be so, had the two conspirators hanged on a gallows. It was then recorded in the daily chronicles in the king’s presence.

Terrors overwhelm him like a flood; at night a whirlwind carries him off.The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; it sweeps him out of his place.It hurls itself against him without pity as he flees headlong from its power.It claps its hands at him in derision and hisses him away from his place.

The king gave another order, and those men who had maliciously accused Daniel were brought and thrown into the lions’ den– they, their children, and their wives. They did not even reach the bottom of the den before the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

While they were still speaking with him, the king’s eunuchs arrived. They quickly brought Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

To all the supervisors of the kingdom, the prefects, satraps, counselors, and governors it seemed like a good idea for a royal edict to be issued and an interdict to be enforced. For the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or human other than you, O king, should be thrown into a den of lions.

He looked up at the window and said,“ Who is on my side? Who?” Two or three eunuchs looked down at him.
