That same day King Xerxes gave Queen Esther the estate of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came into the presence of the king, for Esther had told how he was related to her.

That same day King Xerxes gave Queen Esther everything Haman had owned. Haman had been the enemy of the Jews. Esther had told the king that Mordecai was her cousin. So Mordecai came to see the king.

On that same day King Xerxes gave the property of Haman, the enemy of the Jews, to Queen Esther. Then Mordecai was brought before the king, for Esther had told the king how they were related.

That same day King Ahasuerus awarded Queen Esther the estate of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. Mordecai entered the king’s presence because Esther had revealed her relationship to Mordecai.

On that day King Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews, to Queen Esther; and Mordecai came before the king, because Esther had disclosed what he was to her.

He was bringing up Hadassah, that is Esther, the daughter of his uncle, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman had a beautiful figure and was lovely to look at, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter.

When the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his own daughter, to go in to the king, she asked for nothing except what Hegai the king’s eunuch, who had charge of the women, advised. Now Esther was winning favor in the eyes of all who saw her.

Surely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.

Though he heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay,he may pile it up, but the righteous will wear it, and the innocent will divide the silver.

But God said to him,‘ Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’

And Esther said,“ A foe and enemy! This wicked Haman!” Then Haman was terrified before the king and the queen.

those who trust in their wealth and boast of the abundance of their riches?Truly no man can ransom another, or give to God the price of his life,for the ransom of their life is costly and can never suffice,that he should live on forever and never see the pit.For he sees that even the wise die; the fool and the stupid alike must perish and leave their wealth to others.Their graves are their homes forever, their dwelling places to all generations, though they called lands by their own names.Man in his pomp will not remain; he is like the beasts that perish.This is the path of those who have foolish confidence; yet after them people approve of their boasts. I hated all my toil in which I toil under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to the man who will come after me,and who knows whether he will be wise or a fool? Yet he will be master of all for which I toiled and used my wisdom under the sun. This also is vanity.

Whoever multiplies his wealth by interest and profit gathers it for him who is generous to the poor.
