『我的日子比跑信的更快；它疾飛過去，不見福樂。

正月十三日王的書記們就被召了來，照哈曼一切所吩咐的，寫下了勅令、給王的眾藩臣，給一省一省的巡撫，給一族一族的首領；一省一省用自己的文字，一族一族用自己的方言；奉亞哈隨魯王的名寫的，又用王的打印戒指蓋上了印的。詔書由跑文書的人經手送到王的各省，說要在一日之間、在十二月、就是亞達月、十三日，將所有的猶大人、無論老少幼小或婦女、全都消滅屠殺滅盡，並且奪取他們的資財作為掠物。

跑文書的帶着王和他的大臣手發的詔書就去、走遍以色列和猶大，並且遵照王所吩咐的說：『以色列人哪，你們要轉向永恆主、亞伯拉罕以撒以色列的上帝，好叫他轉向你們這逃脫亞述王掌握的餘民。

用你來打碎馬和騎馬的；用你來打碎戰車和坐戰車的；

於是她用亞哈的名義寫文書，將王的印章印上，把文書送給拿伯城裏的長老和顯貴人、那些和拿伯同住一城的人。

因為王的話最有權力，誰能問他說：『你在作甚麼？』

洶湧的駱駝必遮滿着你，米甸和以法的獨峰駝必遍佈於你境內。示巴的眾人都必來到；帶着黃金和乳香而來，也必將永恆主可頌可讚的事傳為好消息。

你怎能說：「我沒有被沾污，我沒有隨從眾巴力」呢？看你的路在平谷中，就知道你所作的是甚麼——嘿，一隻迅速輕快的獨峰駝！狂奔亂闖，跑道交錯！

尼布甲尼撒王寄詔書給住全地的各族之民、列國之民、和各種方言的人，說：『願你們多享平安興隆！

他們各按自己的職務、將養馬和快馬的大麥和禾藁、送到該送的地方。
