詔中大旨、乃亞哈隨魯王許其國各州各邑之猶大人、在一日內、在十二月、即亞達月十三日、聚集自衛、以保其生、無論何州、與其為敵之兵民、可以翦除殺戮勦滅、延及嬰孩婦女、並取其貨財、

The king’s edict granted the Jews in every city the right to assemble and protect themselves; to destroy, kill and annihilate the armed men of any nationality or province who might attack them and their women and children, and to plunder the property of their enemies.

The Jews in every city could now gather together and fight for their lives. The king’s order gave them that right. But suppose soldiers from any nation or territory attacked them, their women or children. Then the Jews could destroy, kill and wipe out those soldiers. They could also take the goods that belonged to their enemies.

saying that the king allowed the Jews who were in every city to gather and defend their lives, to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate any armed force of any people or province that might attack them, children and women included, and to plunder their goods,

The king’s decree gave the Jews in every city authority to unite to defend their lives. They were allowed to kill, slaughter, and annihilate anyone of any nationality or province who might attack them or their children and wives, and to take the property of their enemies.

诏书由信差传到王的各省，限令一日之内，就是在十二月，亚达月十三日，把所有的犹太人，无论老少妇女孩子，全然剪除，杀戮灭绝，并抢夺他们的财产。

他们不必从田野捡柴，也不必从森林伐木，因为他们要用这些军器烧火。他们要抢夺那抢夺他们的人，掳掠那掳掠他们的人。这是主耶和华说的。”

恶人刀已出鞘，弓已上弦，要砍倒困苦贫穷的人，要杀害行为正直的人。他们的刀必刺入自己的心，他们的弓必折断。

犹太人在亚哈随鲁王各省的城里聚集，下手击杀那些要害他们的人。没有人能在他们面前站立得住，因为各民族都惧怕他们。各省的领袖、总督、省长，和办理王事务的人，因惧怕末底改，就都帮助犹太人。末底改在朝中为大，名声传遍各省；末底改这人的权势日渐扩大。犹太人用刀击杀所有的仇敌，杀灭他们，随意待那些恨他们的人。在书珊城堡中，犹太人杀灭了五百人。他们杀了巴珊大他、达分、亚斯帕他、破拉他、亚大利雅、亚利大他、帕玛斯他、亚利赛、亚利代、瓦耶撒他；这十人都是哈米大他的孙子，犹太人的仇敌哈曼的儿子。犹太人却没有下手夺取财物。那日，书珊城堡中被杀的人数呈报到王面前。王对以斯帖王后说：“犹太人在书珊城堡中杀灭了五百人，又杀了哈曼的十个儿子，在王其余的各省不知如何。你要什么，必赐给你；你还求什么，也必为你成就。”以斯帖说：“王若以为好，求你允准书珊的犹太人，明日也照今日的谕旨去做，并把哈曼十个儿子的尸体挂在木架上。”王允准这么做。敕令传遍书珊，哈曼十个儿子的尸体被挂了起来。亚达月十四日，在书珊的犹太人又聚集，在书珊杀了三百人，却没有下手夺取财物。亚达月十三日，在王各省其余的犹太人也都聚集，保护自己的性命，摆脱仇敌得享平安。他们杀了七万五千个恨他们的人，却没有下手夺取财物；十四日他们休息，以这日为设宴欢乐的日子。

将要被灭的巴比伦哪，用你待我们的恶行报复你的，那人有福了。

耶和华造天、地、海和其中的万物，他守信实，直到永远。他为受欺压的伸冤，赐食物给饥饿的人。耶和华释放被囚的，耶和华开了盲人的眼睛，耶和华扶起被压下的人，耶和华喜爱义人。耶和华保护寄居的，扶持孤儿和寡妇，却使恶人的道路弯曲。

我要差遣他攻击亵渎的国，吩咐他对付我所恼怒的民，抢走掳物，夺取掠物，将他们践踏，如同街上的泥土一般。

惟有义人必然欢喜，在上帝面前快乐，他们要在喜乐中欢欣。
