谕旨中，王准各省各城的犹大人在一日之间，十二月，就是亚达月十三日，聚集保护性命，剪除杀戮灭绝那要攻击犹大人的一切仇敌和他们的妻子儿女，夺取他们的财为掠物。

哈曼将他富厚的荣耀、众多的儿女，和王抬举他使他超乎首领臣仆之上，都述说给他们听。

凡是你的东西，就是一根线、一根鞋带，我都不拿，免得你说：‘我使亚伯兰富足！’

他必从光明中被撵到黑暗里，必被赶出世界。在本民中必无子无孙；在寄居之地也无一人存留。

“神为恶人所定的份，强暴人从全能者所得的报乃是这样：倘或他的儿女增多，还是被刀所杀；他的子孙必不得饱食。他所遗留的人必死而埋葬；他的寡妇也不哀哭。

不可跪拜那些像，也不可侍奉它，因为我耶和华你的神是忌邪的神。恨我的，我必追讨他的罪，自父及子，直到三四代；

又说：“耶和华已经起了誓，必世世代代和亚玛力人争战。”

弟兄们，我还有未尽的话：凡是真实的、可敬的、公义的、清洁的、可爱的、有美名的，若有什么德行，若有什么称赞，这些事你们都要思念。

亚达月十四日，书珊的犹大人又聚集在书珊，杀了三百人，却没有下手夺取财物。在王各省其余的犹大人也都聚集保护性命，杀了恨他们的人七万五千，却没有下手夺取财物。这样，就脱离仇敌，得享平安。

以斯帖说：“仇人敌人就是这恶人哈曼！”哈曼在王和王后面前就甚惊惶。

愿无人向他延绵施恩！愿无人可怜他的孤儿！愿他的后人断绝，名字被涂抹，不传于下代！

因我和我的本族被卖了，要剪除杀戮灭绝我们。我们若被卖为奴为婢，我也闭口不言；但王的损失，敌人万不能补足。”

不要以恶报恶；众人以为美的事要留心去做。

你必从世上灭绝他们的子孙，从人间灭绝他们的后裔。

这事以后，亚哈随鲁王抬举亚甲族哈米大他的儿子哈曼，使他高升，叫他的爵位超过与他同事的一切臣宰。
