哈曼將他財富之豐厚、他兒女之眾多、以及王怎樣使他尊大、怎樣高升了他超過眾官長和王的臣僕們、都敘說給他們聽。

凡是你的東西就是一根線、一條鞋帶，我也不拿，免得你說：「我使亞伯蘭發財」。

他必從光中被攆到黑暗裏，他必被趕逐離開世界。在本族民中他沒有苗裔、沒有後代。在寓居的各地、他也沒有殘存的人。

『惡人在上帝那裏所有的分兒、強橫人從全能者所得的產業乃是以下這樣：就使他的子孫增多，還是必被刀殺；他出的後裔必不得喫飽飯。他殘存的人必遭疫癘、而不得埋葬，他的寡婦也不哀哭。

不可敬拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我永恆主你的上帝是忌邪的上帝；恨我的、我必察罰他們的罪愆、從父親到兒子、到三四代。

說：『我舉手指着永恆主的寶座來起誓：永恆主必世世代代跟亞瑪力人爭戰。』

末了，弟兄們，凡是真誠的、莊重的、凡是正義的、清潔的、凡是可愛的、有美名的：若有甚麼美德、甚麼可稱讚之事——你們都要思念。

亞達月十四日、在書珊的猶大人也聚集攏來，在書珊殺了三百人；至於掠物、他們卻沒有下手去拿。在王各省其餘的猶大人也都聚集，站起來保護自己的性命，脫離他們的仇敵、得享平安，殺了恨惡他們的人七萬五千名；至於掠物、他們卻沒有下手去拿：

以斯帖說：『敵人、仇敵、就是哈曼這個壞人！』哈曼在王和王后面前立即驚惶失措。

願無人向他延長恩愛；也無人恩待他的孤兒。願他的後人被剪滅；願他的名字第二代就被塗抹。

因為我和我本族之民、我們都被出賣、快要被消滅，被屠殺，被滅盡了。我們若只是被賣為奴隸為婢女，我也就閉不作聲，但敵人是不會以王的這種損失為滿足的。』

不要以惡報惡；眾人以為美好的、務要籌謀。

你必從地上滅絕他們腹中的果子，從人類中滅絕他們的後裔。

這些事以後、亞哈隨魯王使亞甲族哈米大他的兒子哈曼甚為尊大；他高升了他，使他的座位高過和他同事的一切大臣。
