耶和华对摩西说：“我要将亚玛力的名号从天下全然涂抹了；你要将这话写在书上作纪念，又念给约书亚听。”

以色列人要说：若不是耶和华帮助我们，若不是耶和华帮助我们，当人起来攻击我们、向我们发怒的时候，就把我们活活地吞了。

正月十三日，就召了王的书记来，照着哈曼一切所吩咐的，用各省的文字、各族的方言，奉亚哈随鲁王的名写旨意，传与总督和各省的省长，并各族的首领；又用王的戒指盖印，

现在你要写一篇歌，教导以色列人，传给他们，使这歌见证他们的不是；因为我将他们领进我向他们列祖起誓应许那流奶与蜜之地，他们在那里吃得饱足，身体肥胖，就必偏向别神，侍奉他们，藐视我，背弃我的约。那时，有许多祸患灾难临到他们，这歌必在他们面前作见证，他们后裔的口中必念诵不忘。我未领他们到我所起誓应许之地以先，他们所怀的意念我都知道了。”当日摩西就写了一篇歌，教导以色列人。

亚哈随鲁作王，从印度直到古实，统管一百二十七省。

三月，就是西弯月二十三日，将王的书记召来，按着末底改所吩咐的，用各省的文字、各族的方言，并犹大人的文字方言写谕旨，传给那从印度直到古实一百二十七省的犹大人和总督省长首领。

这代要对那代颂赞你的作为，也要传扬你的大能。我要默念你威严的尊荣和你奇妙的作为。人要传说你可畏之事的能力；我也要传扬你的大德。他们记念你的大恩就要传出来，并要歌唱你的公义。耶和华有恩惠，有怜悯，不轻易发怒，大有慈爱。耶和华善待万民；他的慈悲覆庇他一切所造的。耶和华啊，你一切所造的都要称谢你；你的圣民也要称颂你，传说你国的荣耀，谈论你的大能，好叫世人知道你大能的作为，并你国度威严的荣耀。

他仆人以色列的后裔，他所拣选雅各的子孙哪，你们要记念他奇妙的作为和他的奇事，并他口中的判语。
