Mordecai recorded these events, and he sent letters to all the Jews throughout the provinces of King Xerxes, near and far,

耶和華對摩西說：「我要將亞瑪力的名號從天下全然塗抹了；你要將這話寫在書上作紀念，又念給約書亞聽。」

以色列人要說：若不是耶和華幫助我們，若不是耶和華幫助我們，當人起來攻擊我們、向我們發怒的時候，就把我們活活地吞了。

正月十三日，就召了王的書記來，照着哈曼一切所吩咐的，用各省的文字、各族的方言，奉亞哈隨魯王的名寫旨意，傳與總督和各省的省長，並各族的首領；又用王的戒指蓋印，

現在你要寫一篇歌，教導以色列人，傳給他們，使這歌見證他們的不是；因為我將他們領進我向他們列祖起誓應許那流奶與蜜之地，他們在那裏吃得飽足，身體肥胖，就必偏向別神，事奉他們，藐視我，背棄我的約。那時，有許多禍患災難臨到他們，這歌必在他們面前作見證，他們後裔的口中必念誦不忘。我未領他們到我所起誓應許之地以先，他們所懷的意念我都知道了。」當日摩西就寫了一篇歌，教導以色列人。

亞哈隨魯作王，從印度直到古實，統管一百二十七省。

三月，就是西彎月二十三日，將王的書記召來，按着末底改所吩咐的，用各省的文字、各族的方言，並猶大人的文字方言寫諭旨，傳給那從印度直到古實一百二十七省的猶大人和總督省長首領。

這代要對那代頌讚你的作為，也要傳揚你的大能。我要默念你威嚴的尊榮和你奇妙的作為。人要傳說你可畏之事的能力；我也要傳揚你的大德。他們記念你的大恩就要傳出來，並要歌唱你的公義。耶和華有恩惠，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，大有慈愛。耶和華善待萬民；他的慈悲覆庇他一切所造的。耶和華啊，你一切所造的都要稱謝你；你的聖民也要稱頌你，傳說你國的榮耀，談論你的大能，好叫世人知道你大能的作為，並你國度威嚴的榮耀。

他僕人以色列的後裔，他所揀選雅各的子孫哪，你們要記念他奇妙的作為和他的奇事，並他口中的判語。
