我使你身穿刺繡的衣裳，腳穿海狗皮鞋；用細麻布給你裹頭；又用絲綢給你披在身上。我用珠寶給你打扮，把手環戴在你手上，把項鍊戴在你頸上，又把鼻環戴在你鼻子上，把耳環戴在你耳朵上，把美麗的冠冕戴在你頭上。這樣你就有了金銀的裝飾，你穿的是細麻、絲綢和刺繡的衣服；你吃的是細麵、蜂蜜和油；你實在非常美麗，配登王后的位。

這樣，神把你們父親的牲畜奪來，賜給我了。

善人給子孫留下產業，罪人的財富，卻是為義人積藏。

他雖然堆積銀子如塵沙，預備衣服如泥土，他儘管預備，義人卻要穿上；他的銀子，無辜的人也要瓜分。

亞倫對他們說：“把你們妻子和兒女戴在耳上的金環摘下來，送來給我。”全體人民就把他們耳上的金耳環都摘下來，送來給亞倫。亞倫從他們手中接過來，用雕刻的工具雕刻，鑄造了一個牛像；他們就說：“以色列啊，這就是你們的神，就是把你從埃及地領出來的那位。”

他領自己的子民帶著金銀出來；他們眾支派中沒有一個畏縮的。

凡是甘心樂意的，不論男女，都來了，把金針、耳環、戒指、手釧和各樣的金器都送來。他們各人都把金子作禮物呈獻給耶和華。

萬軍之耶和華說：“銀子是我的，金子也是我的。”

我對他們說：‘凡是有金子的，都可以摘下來’，他們就給了我；我把它丟在火裡，這牛犢就出來了。”

難道我不可以照自己的主意用我的財物嗎？還是因為我仁慈你就嫉妒呢？’
