将来你们的子孙问起这件事的意义，你们就回答，‘耶和华曾经用大能的手把我们从受奴役之地——埃及领出来。

日后，你的儿子问你说：‘这是什么意思？’你就说：‘耶和华用大能的手将我们从埃及为奴之家领出来。

日后，你的儿子问你说：‘这是什么意思？’你就说：‘耶和华用大能的手将我们从埃及为奴之家领出来。

日後你的兒子若問你說：「這是甚麼意思？」，你要對他說：「是永恆主用他手的權能將我們從埃及、從為奴之家領出來。

異日爾子若問爾曰、此何意也、則告之曰、耶和華以其手力、導我出埃及、脫於奴隸之室、

厥後若爾子孫詰爾、行此曷故、爾宜告之、耶和華以大能導我出埃及、脫我於賤役、

他日、爾子若相問曰、行此何為、爾則告之曰、因主以大能導我出為奴之伊及、

“ In days to come, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

“ In days to come, your child will ask you,‘ What does this mean?’ Say to them,‘ The Lord used his mighty hand to bring us out of Egypt. That’s the land where we were slaves.

And when in time to come your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ you shall say to him,‘ By a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

“ And in the future, your children will ask you,‘ What does all this mean?’ Then you will tell them,‘ With the power of his mighty hand, the Lord brought us out of Egypt, the place of our slavery.

“ In the future, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ By the strength of his hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ then you shall say to him,‘ With a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall say to him,‘ By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

And it shall be, when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand Jehovah brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

“ In the future, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ By the strength of His hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What[ is] this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

In the future, when your son asks you‘ What is this?’ you are to tell him,‘ With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the land of slavery.

It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall tell him,‘ By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.

摩西对百姓说：“你们要记住离开埃及的这一天，因为耶和华用大能的手把你们从受奴役的地方解救出来。不可吃带酵的食物。

这些石头要在你们中间作记号。以后，倘若你们的子孙问你们，‘这些石头是什么意思？’

你们的儿女问你们守这节期的意义时，你们就说，‘这是献给耶和华逾越节的祭，因为我们从前在埃及时，祂击杀埃及人，却越过以色列人所住的房子，救了我们各家。’”百姓听了摩西这番话，都低头下拜。

“将来你们的子孙会问，‘我们的上帝耶和华给你们颁布这些法度、律例和典章是什么意思？’你们要告诉他们，‘我们曾在埃及做法老的奴隶，耶和华用大能的手领我们离开埃及。我们亲眼看见耶和华行伟大而可畏的神迹奇事，惩罚埃及和法老全家。祂带领我们离开埃及，为要把我们带进祂起誓赐给我们祖先的这片土地。我们的上帝耶和华吩咐我们遵守这一切律例、敬畏祂，以便我们可以常常受益，生命无忧，正如今日的情形。

这样，你就可以把我如何严惩埃及人以及我在他们当中所行的神迹告诉你的子孙，好叫你们知道我是耶和华。”

愿世世代代颂赞你的事迹，传扬你大能的作为。

这节期就好像在你们手上或额上作的记号，叫你们记得耶和华的律法，祂曾经用大能的手把你们带出埃及。

并对以色列人说：“以后，你们的子孙问你们这堆石头是什么意思，你们就告诉他们，‘这是代表以色列人曾在干地上走过约旦河。’因为你们的上帝耶和华为了让你们过河而使约旦河成为干地，就像祂从前为了让我们过红海而使海成为干地一样。这是要让天下万民都知道耶和华有无比的能力，要让你们永远敬畏你们的上帝耶和华。”

以后，如果你在给我作薪酬的羊群中发现白色的绵羊或没有斑点的山羊，就算是我偷的。这样你可以知道我是否诚实。”

我们这样做是怕以后你们的子孙可能会对我们的子孙说，‘你们和以色列的上帝耶和华有什么关系？
