“ In days to come, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

“ In days to come, your child will ask you,‘ What does this mean?’ Say to them,‘ The Lord used his mighty hand to bring us out of Egypt. That’s the land where we were slaves.

And when in time to come your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ you shall say to him,‘ By a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

“ And in the future, your children will ask you,‘ What does all this mean?’ Then you will tell them,‘ With the power of his mighty hand, the Lord brought us out of Egypt, the place of our slavery.

“ In the future, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ By the strength of his hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ then you shall say to him,‘ With a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall say to him,‘ By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

And it shall be, when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand Jehovah brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

“ In the future, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ By the strength of His hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What[ is] this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

In the future, when your son asks you‘ What is this?’ you are to tell him,‘ With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the land of slavery.

It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall tell him,‘ By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Then Moses said to the people,“ Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the Lord brought you out of it with a mighty hand. Eat nothing containing yeast. (niv)

to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you,‘ What do these stones mean?’ (niv)

And when your children ask you,‘ What does this ceremony mean to you?’then tell them,‘ It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.’” Then the people bowed down and worshiped. (niv)

In the future, when your son asks you,“ What is the meaning of the stipulations, decrees and laws the Lord our God has commanded you?”tell him:“ We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, but the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.Before our eyes the Lord sent signs and wonders— great and terrible— on Egypt and Pharaoh and his whole household.But he brought us out from there to bring us in and give us the land he promised on oath to our ancestors.The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today. that you may tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that you may know that I am the Lord.” (niv)

One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. (niv)

This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand. (niv)

He said to the Israelites,“ In the future when your descendants ask their parents,‘ What do these stones mean?’tell them,‘ Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground.’For the Lord your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The Lord your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over.He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.” (niv)

And my honesty will testify for me in the future, whenever you check on the wages you have paid me. Any goat in my possession that is not speckled or spotted, or any lamb that is not dark-colored, will be considered stolen.” (niv)

“ No! We did it for fear that some day your descendants might say to ours,‘ What do you have to do with the Lord, the God of Israel? (niv)
