“ Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether human or animal.”

“ Set apart for me the first boy born in every family. The oldest son of every Israelite mother belongs to me. Every male animal born first to its mother also belongs to me.”

因为主的律法规定：必须把长子分别出来献给主。

奉献给耶和华的长子和头生的牲畜都归你，但要赎出长子和不洁净的头生牲畜。

因为所有头生的都属于我。我杀死埃及人所有的长子和头生的牲畜那天，已把以色列人所有的长子和头生的牲畜都分别出来，使之圣洁，归给我，我是耶和华。”

“洁净牲畜的头胎，无论是牛是羊，已经属于耶和华，任何人不可再把它献给耶和华。

你们要向我献上五谷和新酒，不可迟疑耽延。要把你们的长子献给我。也要献上头生的牛羊，它们生下来后可以留在母亲身边七天，第八天要献给我。

这里有名字记录在天上的众长子的教会，有审判众人的上帝和已达到纯全的义人的灵魂，

要把田中最好的初熟之物送到你们的上帝耶和华的殿中。不可用母山羊的奶煮它的小羊羔。

因为在以色列人中，他们完全属于我，我拣选他们归我所有，以代替以色列人所有的长子。以色列人所有的长子和头生的牲畜都属于我。我击杀埃及人所有的长子和头生的牲畜那天，已把以色列人所有的长子和头生的牲畜都分别出来，使之圣洁，归给我。

那时，你就告诉法老，‘耶和华说，以色列是我的长子，

你们要把所有长子和头生的公畜归给祂。所有头生的公驴必须用羊羔赎回，不然就要打断它的脖子。要赎回你们所有的长子。将来你们的子孙问起这件事的意义，你们就回答，‘耶和华曾经用大能的手把我们从受奴役之地——埃及领出来。当时法老硬着心不肯放我们走，所以耶和华就把埃及人的长子和头生的牲畜全都杀了。因此，我们把所有头生的公畜当作祭牲献给耶和华，只把长子赎回来。’

“凡是头胎生的儿子都属于我，包括牲畜中一切头胎生的公牛和公羊。头胎生的驴要用羊赎回，如果不用羊赎回，就要打断它的脖子。凡头胎生的男婴，都要赎回他的性命。谁也不可空手来朝见我。
